u wanna put the s-14 front end on, u better have ALOT of money, the s-13 can have the 15 sr20det put in because u CAN put a newer engine in a older car but u cant put a older engine in a newer car, i say get the s-13, u'll be happy with it, if u hold out to get a s-14 u'll be just as happy, but test drive one of each and see which u like better

I would buy the s13.
Get the s15 SR20DET. Get a Body kit and suspension & brakes. And then you would have a dope s13 and you would have spent maybe a little more than getting an s14 in that condition. Just my 2 cents. |

S13s had stiffer suspension, so you should notice a difference. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
I bought my '91 with 72K mi for $1500.00 <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> (I also worked in the dealership I bought it from, so... ) |

I would qualify the suspension question: S13 did have a stiffer suspension, but the S14 had a stiffer chassis.
Hey, if you get this, why not get a Silvia front clip and, rather than do an S14 front, do the Silvia nose. When you see one of these (esp. on a coupe), you really see the evolution of the car. Oh yeah, and an S13 front clip would come with an SR and all the fixin's to do the swap. $0.02 |

I was always told that you can put a S14 front on the old 240SX, I went this morning to look at the car again and man is it clean not a single scratch or dent. Whats with the Speedometer? i couldn't find it? theres a tach but i couldn't find a speedomoter? Is it a heads up display? If it is, is it anygood or should i swap it out?

I have a digital speedo that doesn't work. I tried unassembling it the other day to see if all the connections were ok, and I ended up breaking a few more things. Anyway, if you don't see the speedo, when the car is turned off, it should be a little black box (boo!) in the upper left-hand corner of the information thingy. (Whatever, I've only been here for five years!) So... that's where it is. Yeah. Check if it works. If it doesn't, don't try to fix it. A new piece costs $500.

S13 has a stiffer suspension but a softer chassis. And I am correct! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

That HUD is a pain in the ass and i don't like it. i don't think mine works either. I think i might have to swap it cause it bothers the #### out of me. Anyways i got the car and i already love it. i am not used to it cause i was driving a 2.5RS impreza and its a big diffrence. RWD is cool but so is AWD. anyways i'll get pics as soon as possible. Oh whats the best suspention upgrade to get off the bat? I was thinking that i should start off by lowering it???
