s14 Need help choosing s14 suspension

Hello forums. I need opinions on what i should do with my suspension. I just recently bought an s14 with stock suspension and all 4 struts are blown, it looks like they havent been changed since '95 and the ride sucks. I am on a tight budget of $500 because i have a baby on the way on top of all my bills i have. So ive researched my options and these are my choices unless you guys have otherwise:

1. Emusa coilovers which cost $450. Ive heard good and bad things on these.

2. Tein s tech drop springs with tokiko struts which cost around $400.

3. Just buy new struts for the stock springs and deal with riding stock height for another year or 2.

On a side note i daily my car everyday and that is what its used for mostly because i work so much. The reason i would consider the emusa coilovers is because for the same price of the drop springs i could go lower but is it worth it to get a brand that isnt popular? Any opinions? Thanks!

X2 Family is more important than cars, just get stock shocks and deal with driving stock height for a little while, save that money for a rainy day.....

If the 14 is going to be a baby cruiser, replace the shocks on all four corners with GR2's and worry about being lower later down the road if you still have the S14.

If the 14 is not a baby cruiser, save your money and purchase real coilovers when the money is there.

If you want to keep the comfort of a DD while lowering the car, lowering springs. No coilover near your budget or what you're probably willing to save is going to ride like a cloud. Instead, it will bounce you around or make noises that you've never heard before or it'll blow/break and since you're in HI, you may have to worry about rust with cheap coilovers.

Don't forget to replace dust boots for the strut piston if you do decide to go that route.
