Help me Decide: Post pics of your favorite blue paint
Ok, I'm trying to decide what color to paint my car and I was thinking of the Daytona Blue or the new RX-8 blue. But would like more options, so help me out. P.S I did search, but most of the threads are old and all the pics are not being hosted.

im in the same boat as you. I dont know exactly which colour to paint my car. I was thinking rx-8 blue but my friend has dibs on that. So im thinking daytona blue. might be too light though so im also considering M5 blue. the e46 M5 blue. thats a nice colour. But my other buddy has Mazda 3 blue. its actually a really nice blue on his 180sx.
blues that i like are (and i dont know the exact names of the colors but you can figure it out if you want): Mazda 3 blue (US version that doesnt have red in it. the red makes it come out with a purple tint in the sun) BMW M5 blue-this is a darker blue though, which i like. Mazda rx-8 blue-fookin pimp ass blue. id totally recommend this colour 350Z blue-daytona blue. those are the colors im considering. i think im gonna go for M5 blue or daytona blue. lemme know which color you consider and post some pics when you do get it painted. id love to see how it turns out. Also i think it depends on your wheels and body kit that make the paint look good. so brighter more attractive paints on agressive kits and more subtle colors on sleek smooth kits. |

I went to the Chevy site and they don't have the cool blue on the new ones. It was an older model just not that old. Fack.

my personal favorites, cuz a picture of a BMW just doesnt show you what it would look like on a 180sx..
I really like this one. And my old thread gallery dedicated to the kouki 180sx, there are some blue babies in there. http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.p...=180sx+gallery

I second whoever said to go down to a autobody shop and look at their book. Better yet go down to a dealership and look at the actual color on cars if you can. Looking at pictures doesn't really show how they look in real life because the color balance might be off in the pictures and you don't really get to see the effects of the paint additives. I know when I was looking for colors I really was leaning towards Daytona blue from the 350z but after examining it in person it's not as good as I thought because the metallic effect was pretty weak compared to other colors.

I dont know how to post pictures =.(
But VW Jazz Blue is quite nice and so is that one shade on the 350z. I bet there are atleast 2 blues for the z so that doesnt help at all.

Other than DB, my other top favorite blue would be Estoril Blue Velvet Blue - like dark blurple Verde Artemis - more of a green/blue Bayside blue is nice if you want something lighter than Daytona I think this here is the Blue for the S15 at night but it could have been repainted as the two pictures differ in shade and finally one more reason not to choose daytona blue shown with mercedes quartz blue mettalic
