Its just a head/cam ls3 with a 250 shot of nitrous. It has a 4l80 trans which is just a turbo 400 with overdrive. 27x11.5x15 hoosier quick time pro tires. The pass it broke on was actually without the bottle and it goes low 1.40 60's off the bottle.

This is for S14 subframes only and uses the Ford Explorer IRS 8.8 rear end. This setup can handle over 1,000HP with absolutely no issues. http://www.mazworx.com/mazworx-240sx-8-8-irs-kit.aspx If you send in your subframe and get the custom DSS axles you're only looking at $3,345.00 Includes: Laser cut unwelded brackets Rear Cover Solid Aluminum Diff Bushings Hardware Customer must use: 07-10 Ford Explorer 8.8 Diff (comes 28 spline) Q45 or Z32 TT rear hubs (32 spline) You can get a spool dirt cheap as well as a 1350 chromoly slip yolk and an upgraded pinion with a better spline count. The best part, everything can be over nighted from Summit or Jegs, if you're in a real bind many local speed shops will have 8.8 parts. The bad part is that I don't work there anymore to sell it to you guys lol. In all reality though if someone does seriously want the kit I could sell it through Real Street for the same price. |

The 8.8 would be the ultimate but I'm really trying to avoid the aftermarket axles and the cost associated with it if possible. Thats a lot of coin to still be irs at the end of the day

Another nice thing is that this allows you to remain class legal for classes such as Street Fighter that don't allow for modification of the chassis to fit a proper 9" with a 4 link. Just a note this setup has cut a 1.16 60' Last edited by hanzbrady; 10-24-2017 at 01:18 PM.. |

Agreed, if you're strictly drag, it doesn't make sense. However, I'm sure any fab shop can duplicate this setup relatively easily.

Using the handbrake to load the transmission, can anyone say what rpm you launch at ,do you hold the rpm steady or fan the rpm ,average about 500hp with et drag slicks 26x10

There are too many variables to offer you a set rpm. I'd raise and hold steady, slip the clutch as you can. You really should look into some type of launch control. I'm assuming you're boosted? If so, it'll be a dog off the line if you have a decent size turbo.

Hey guys,
Since I didn't see anyone mention this, at Import vs. Domestic this past weekend Mazworx broke the world record for fastest and quickest SR20 running a 6.685 @ 217.35 MPH. https://www.instagram.com/p/BbE3VsSF...ken-by=mazworx |

And Duy, with the "White Rice" 2JZ-GTE S14 went 6.99 @200 MPH. then went 204MPH in a later pass, apparently, it still has more left in it.

Curious to hear how far anyone using the DSS "600hp" axels have managed to push them with out breaking?
Starting to break stock axels every couple passes now.

The only value I see int hose 600HP axles is for street cars or drift cars that don't plan on dead hooking 600HP with a sticky tire. |

Like I said they make sense on higher HP cars that slip the tire vs hooking it like in a drag car.
Drift cars tend to rip CV joints apart and snap the actual axle so the DSS kit makes sense for that. I just don't think it's fair to call them "600HP Axles" I'd say they should be called something more along the lines of drift or road race axles. A 600HP kit for drag racing would at least need to come with better stub shafts imo. |

The DSS axels are the easiest way to upgrade a part that’s currently breaking every couple passes.
Just trying to see if there are people actually getting away with using the 600hp ones as there’s a big cost difference between the 600 and 900hp ones. This is a 600hp SR20 S14 that has a race weight of 2750 and uses a 26x10 ET Street bias ply tire.

I've personally seen the latter make it until the 1200HP mark. If it were me and we were ignoring the cost I'd do the IRS 8.8 in a heart beat because it solves every issue at once. |

Also from what I'm told the difference between the 600 and 900hp Axel is the outer cv. The 600 has the Porsche cv on the inside only where the 900 has the Porsche cv on the inner and outer. The rest is the same.
It's the inner cup on stock axels that breaks every time on the driver side axels right now.
