J30 axle strength?

I have a q45 diff on my 1j s13 with 4 lug hubs so I'm running 5 bolt j30 axles. I've already blown two driver side axles, is this just from the torque of clutch kicking the 1jz or do you guys think I have another issue? I noticed my driver side axle is a little more compressed than my passenger side, mabey my subframe is shifted or something? I mean I'm making about 320hp and pretty close to that in torque, is that enough to be snapping axles?

I'm willing to bet the axles are not spaced correctly... Probably being compressed too much, ejecting the dust boots.

That makes sense, can I shift the subframe by loosening the bolts and trying to slide it over?

You can't slide the subframe over. You have the axles on the correct sides? Are you low? If so, you're stretching the axles to the outside of their range and sheering off the axles at the tripod.

J30 axles aren't tripod type but I get what you mean, I'm lowered on Dmax coilovers but I'm not like slammed, I barely tuck tire on 18s

Correction, it depends on what year j30 axles are used whether they are tripod or not. They had both Rezzepa and Tripod styles.

I can't think of why you'd continue to break axles. Do you drop that side off pavement more? The shock load going from grass to pavement could be a partial cause. OEM axles should be good for a decent amount of power unless they see lots of shock loads.
