Terrible move for Cleveland...
- Putting all their eggs in one basket, and by "basket" I mean "season," more on that in a few. - Shaq may have been in shape last year, but credits that to Phoenix's training staff -- they're not coming with him. - Shaq is slow laterally and off of his feet these days, which makes not a good defender/rebounder. - Shaq had problems with Dwight Howard last year, remember? - Hack-a-Shaq is still a viable defensive strategy, so Shaq will play very little in 4th quarters. - Shaq will clog LeBron's middle, causing him to become less effective having to lean on what is still his weakest weapon - his jumper. - Back to the "one season" thing - Shaquille has stated that he wants another 2-year when this one is up after this season. This would put Cleveland in the unenviable position to have to TRY to sign an oft-out-of-shape Shaquille and having to pay the most expensive player in the league. When the time to choose comes, any retard knows to pay LeBron, which would leave Cleveland RIGHT back at square one. This trade gives them the power they need to turn the corner, whether or not it will work remains to be seen and I don't think it will. In the long-term beyond the 2009-2010 season, this is a dumb move, but is probably the best available. You'd better hit your knees and pray he is still available to them and that the "King/Kong Experiment" in Cleveland fails.

That would be funny, but in comparison, looks like Orlando would win, as Dwight had at least a couple decent games these playoffs, where The Big Washout just doesn't.

LA sells it's #29 draft pick to NY for $3mil. Looks like they're making way to re-sign
both LO and Ariza. NBA Draft is tonight. I'm not too excited. Shaq to Cleveland... well, goodluck. |

Good move by LA to sell that pick. Hopefully that can get deals done with LO & TA.
Curious to see how team chemistry will be effected by the a shaquisition. Will be interesting to see how shaq will hold up through out the next season. I'm sure he'll come back motivated and in shape next year; but after that, prolly not.

I can see Shaq saying it now...
-Lebron is the greatest player I have played with -Mo Williams is the best PG ever -Mike Brown is the greatest coach I have played for Orlando will trade Alston and Lee to New Jersey for Vince Carter and Ryan Andersen. I say that's a solid trade for Orlando since Hedo probably won't re-sign now since Carter is coming. VC will take over his position and Hedo won't get much playing time and touches. He also wants to get paid, and I doubt Orlando will want to pay him his $11mil asking price. Orlando needed a scorer who can create his own shot, and that's VC. |

For the sake of talk let's say Lakers don't win next year, and Shaq and Lebron win a ring....What will suck for Lebron is everyone saying he can't win a ring without Shaq!! Hahahahaha and now he's got a big monkey on his back. Same with Wade he's also got a big monkey on his back. I think the correct Shaq song would be..."Dwayne tell me how my ass taste!"

It WILL be a one-year experiment, though, as they CAN FUCKING NOT afford LeBron AND Shaq after this season, when LeBron's asking price will understandably be what Tracy McGrady and Kobe Bryant blew through the ceiling on before him.

Bucher was on TV saying it's Biedrins/Belinelli/Wright/#7 for Amare.
That's way too much. Ellis and Wright is the most i'd give, but frankly, i'd rather see what Anthony Randolph does next to Biedrins than see Amare at center for one year before he walks. |

Because David Lee is a free agent, dumbass. It's 2009 and people don't know the #1 rule is "follow the money."
He's also BPA and therefore the best available trade bait. |

Dallas doesn't want to re-sign Kidd, so I'm thinking he's gonna sign with LA for the
vet's minimum. He has the best chance on winning a title alongside Kobe. Hedo opted out of his contract, and I have a feeling Portland will make a run at him. |

They're fully expecting Fisher to ride off into the sunset and be a family man after this contract. They've made it abundantly clear that they're looking for their next point guard, and for them to be shopping Farmar would naturally mean that he ain't it.

Ron Artest is a Laker. He will sign a 3-yr contract worth around $18mil. Ariza wanted $9million a year, and no
way is he worth that much. I am exuberant for this signing (pending). Goodbye Ariza, have fun in Portland/Toronto/Cleveland. |
