~9<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>0 AM. Coit and Beltline in Dallas. Right turn lane, about to be heading west. Slowing down for the yield turn lane.
What the hell? I'm facing the wrong way. Steering into my skid, trying to recover. Bang. Both right wheels of my 6 day old 1990 Nissan 240sx White 5spd go up onto the curb with a loud bang. Drive down, can't seem to go. Get out to recall and investigate. Right front wheel is broken off of TC rods. Slight fender bend. No engine damage. Right rear tire is bent inwards at the bottom. Get a phone, call my father. Cops show up. Arf, shove my cigarettes into my pocket so I'll have them (once the cop is out of sight as I'm 17. Shut up.) Another cop shows up. He's a really nice guy. He goes across the street to investigate the turn lane. Comes back saying it's slick as hell. Goes into texaco to ask what the fuck that is. They say they were using degreaser. It all collected into that fucking turn lane. Cop comes back and suggests I file a claim on Texaco. Wrecker shows up, I weep as they haul my car up onto it. They take it to the Nissan place which says initially about a grand. It will get fixed and I will triumph. but FUCK! |

Def. file a claim against Texaco....what's the worse that could happen...you lose. But if you win, you might possibly be driving an s-14.... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> . Sucks that you had the wreck though.
By the way...same thing happened with me about the smokes when I was 17. Some lady hit me, and I shoved them in my sock when the cops showed up....pretty funny though now I look back on it. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/eh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':eh:'> By the way, I live in Fort Worth.

i sort of feel ur pain, 5 days after i got my car, i got my window smashed 'cause some jack ass was tryin' to jack it. but it's not as bad as urs though...
it sounds like the car hit the rub, rear wheel bent, front things broke, fender busted. it'll be a couple hundred bucks to replace all that urself. paint for the fender is a real pain in the ass, 'cause the money that'll go into paint. but since ur suing, go get ur body checked out, and the whole 9 yards...

Sorry to hear bout your accident. Make sure you have that cop's badge number just in case you need his testimony. If you can, try to take a picture of the road with the degreaser if it's noticeable. If you can't get anything from texaco, try getting something from the city. I don't want to burst your bubble or anything, but either claim is going to be hard to win cause you're the only one who got in the accident. Good luck anyways and keep us posted.

I got a story something like that. About 4 years ago, i bought my first 240 (a 1995). I had it for about 3 weeks. My cousin and i were driving to my friends house. He was following behind me. I slow down for a right turn, he was not paying attention. My cousin was looking at the other side of the street talking to another friend (while he was going about 50mph) I was just barely begining to take the right turn and POW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my cousin rams me from behind. I spun out, almost did a 360. damn was my body fucked up. The cops later came and said that my cousin was going about 45 to 50 mph when he hit me. He totalled my car. My back trunk started where the back window was.
and smoking is bad for you... *puff Puff* hehehe, jk... |

File the lawsuit against texaco and you will win, especially if the cop suggests doing it.
Once you win, buy an s14 and drop an sr20 into it. It's like a free car for your problems <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> |

file a suit for a slightly outrageous sum of money,
eg. $25,000 or more. say that you could have been seriously harmed in the accident, and were very lucky to come out unscathed. inconvenienced by your lack of transportation disheartened as you had saved for years to buy your first car only to live out the dream for a mere 6 days at no fault of your own. oncw it sits in some bigwigs desk they'll settle for a nominal sum of money closer to $5000 or perhaps $10,000. there is no doubt texeco doesnt want anything in the paper about this, saying that they let their harmful fluids seep out into the streets. you will definatley come out with a few thousand dollars though, so be patient and do it right.... SUE THE FUCKERS!!!! aint it the american way??? |
