3in stock muffler
i want to go lowpro with my car and since i have a sr it of course needs free airflow so im running a blitz with 3in piping would it be to much air restriction of i weld a stock muffler to the 3in piping? stupid idea or not a bad idea?

stupid idea... you'll lose hp and get worse mileage... its better just to go 2.25 all the way back, you'll lose about the same hp, but at least you won't be sacrificing too much mileage.

BRM is kinda quite, and it looks super stock.
Its gonna be kind of hard to get "stockish" quiet from any 3" piping though...

i had bought some exhaust of a guy that was 3" catback with a huge ass carbon fiber muffler on it and i decided i wanted to replace it cause i wanted a more stock look. so i kept the piping and i had a Flowmast super 44 series muffler welded on. nice deep sound but not as loud or ricey looking. i like it.

Looks stock, im sure if you slap on a high flow cat it will tone it down a bit more

A resonator will definitely quiet it down a bit. Maybe run like a 8-9" or even a 12" resonator and if you find a muffler that's a little quieter as well you will have a decent combo that will quiet things down a bit and not sacrifice much loss in exhaust flow (maybe minimal) and shouldn't affect your MPG's much either...

You could surely put together a stockish-looking combo and add a resonator to quiet to your liking with a custom setup.

Megan Racing OE Spec II.
Looks stock, can be quiet if babied. i never get a second look from cops. and if you're that paranoid, get the Apex'i ECV. my car sounds quieter than most cars that are stock when it's engaged. mine is for sale if you're interested.
