s13 wheel fitment experts!!!
hi im planning on buying an s13 hatch in the near future and i noticed that 5zigens discontinuing their fn01r-cs which i love and i wanted to get for my s13 so i want to try to get them now so i can get the proper fitting before they get hard to find.
1. 4 lug vs 5 lug - so first off im looking for a the concave bowed in spoke look like this, and from a little bit of research it seems like no matter what width/offset combination you have the 4 lug fn01's do not give u concave...is this true?? 2. lug conversions - ive read that 5 lug conversions are possible for the s13, is this fairly easy? 3. offsets - assuming i go with the 5 lugs im thinking im going to want a 17x8 and 17x9 rear... ...with those sizes theres +25, +35 and +43 offsets for the 17x8 and +15, +35 and +43 for the 17x9 which would you suggest for my s13?? im lookin for an aggressive offset that will give me a good concave but not sticking out too far and past the fenders because the s13 is going to be stock bodied, no body kit or wider fenders etc but i am willing to roll the shit out of the fenders and give it some negative camber to accomodate... |

fn01rcs are so common I can't stand these rims anymore. It's like meshies, they look ok/decent but sheez try something different for once.
Anyways, we have a wheel fitment thread. Search and you will find, these rims have been covered plenty. |

yea thats true thats a lot smarter but im gonna go with the fn01s end of story. from lookin thru a lotta forums all i see that 240s can take anything...this is a lot different from what im used too cuz i drive a car with a double wishbone suspension and offset is critical from what im used to...
im thinking the +35s might be a safe bet...and i do plan to put coilovers on the car right away |

Besides everybody has their own idea of what they want their car to look...only you can make that decision for yourself. Some folks what their shit to be flush. Flush is a loose term, what you think is flush may not be flush enough for me. That is why, everytime we get questions like this...we refer everybody to the wheel fitment threads. Get the idea? Again, look at the specs and try to match the wheels you want to what you see. |

yeah thats a valid logical point however fitment vs. individual wheel characteristics at particular offsets is a different story...any of the offsets available fit, work and make someone happy. a lot of guys have even sizing with conservative offsets but i wanted a concave and staggered look.
either way another forum beat this one to the punch getting my sizing, cuz a lot of the guys here whined instead of helped 5 lugs in 18x9.5 +12 17x9.0 +15 anyone have productive input on that setup... |

There itself is your problem S13 vs S14 front wheel well arent exactly the same. If you flipped thru the wheel thread, you would have noticed that S14s can run more aggressive wheel sizings that S13s. S14s has alot more room and can run 10js with minor mods. S13s on the other hand...its a pain in the ass due to having tighter clearance, specially at full lock.

Jesus christ kid.... its the pad on the back. All 17x10 have the same concave. They just make the rear pad thicker.
...and yes 10's WILL WORK ON A S13 up front. But you have to make em. Its not easy. Rears are cake to fit if your going to run -camber and rolled fenders. Do some fucking research and stop arguing with the few ppl on here that are trying to help you. |

bust out your notepad.. the lower the offset the more cave look your lookin gor.. +45 is too high for me liking.. under 35ish i golden.. eliminates needing of wheel spacers for a more flush look which the world goes for..
still trying to learn myself.. just got my 240 a week or two ago.. |

Yeah good luck fitting those under your fenders, it seems like you have a hard time understanding the fitment. You're going to have to roll and pull the fenders, did you boys over on the other forums tell you this? I think you should go with a 17x9+20 17x10+35 and run some 255/40 275/40 on there but thats just my style.

You're so set on being stubborn and telling everyone you don't want to go through the wheel fitment thread.
If you just searched the wheel fitment thread for wheel sizes close to whatever you're considering you could find a car with the specs you need or are close to it, and just PM the owner of the car. FNO1R-C wheels suck and you're going to be hard pressed to match a set of concave face all around in them.

Shit my rule of thumb...
9J +9 up front and 10j +10 in the rear. Doesnt matter what chassis it is, just means you'd have to give the fenders more love for S13s. |
