Getting my first 280Z :)
Hey guys! I'm getting my 3rd Z, but it's not a Z31 this time.
Not many of you know me yet so I'll start with a small intro I'm Ross, I am the age of 19 and I have had a 86' Z31 2+0 and my current 84' Z31 2+2 Both had BPU's. But the 84 had a 3" 3 Core alum rad, MSD ignition stuffz, custom intake, gutted out and welded diff. But recently due to rain and really bad tires I bent up the frame on the front right and tweaked it back and the passenger door barely opens. Some pictures of the 84, the 86 got trashed by some guy running a light, luckily the ex and I were fine. Also my car had been swapped from auto to manual due to the automatically going out. Has a DXD Clutch, stage 2 endurance. very awesome Onto the S130 that I am getting It has gotten a paint job, a nice orange. Only a small amount of rust (compared to others I've looked at). In the rear spare area and behind the driver seat. The motor turns over, but the car does NOT have any keys.. Anyone want to sell me an ignition key hole, door locks, and trunk lock? Haha. The guy I'm buying it from redid the whole front end fuel line, rail, and injectors. SWEET! I have a good bodied S130 for 400$! Going to go pick her up in the afternoon tomorrow, just paid it off today. Oh but the interior could use a bin of work haha. |

Alright got an intake for it, redid the fuel lines, but I have to do them again ! I used worm gears for the fuel line and such, so I'ma buy all new lines and fuel hose clamps
She runs amazing! Got a new starter cause whatever one he had in the car went out, didn't look like OEM so i'm not sure Just chillen with all three of ma babiessss Picture of said damage of the Z.. The 81 Interior needs a lot of work, but we're locating pieces from local junkyards and pick-a-parts You can see that the PO also deleted some vacuum lines before me Intake! You can see the wiring job, fuel lines, and injectors that the guy put on And this is the port that Ineed to make a block off plate for, dunno what was here but I used tape, and RTV to seal it up for the time being |

I read the thread title thinking i was going to see yet another 240/260/280 s30 project, but now i'm excited to see its s130! Definitely not every z guys first pick.
I actually traded a stock s13 coupe for my barn yard project s130, that seemed so long ago, 3 of wheels, 3 different colors, its been changing every year. haha currently my car is down, blow headgasket. Your s130 looks to be in good condition, rear bumper is nice, the stock bumpers on zx are pretty fugly. Its always cool to see more zx projects. keep this updated!

Thanks! I actually have a little bit to update with but no pictures as of right now.
I redid the fuel injector harness, new wrap and electrical tape, traced some useless wires and depinned them and finished a little bit of things here and there Flushed the radiator, about to do the diff/trans soon and I have a straight pipe on it for the time being, it's not deafening like the 300Z was. I got the car registered! I LOVE BEING LEGAL! I don't worry about cops :-) |

I see youre already getting comfortable in the zx,
Drift photos really bring old boring cars to life. Hah that is one thing I can say about the S30, I had a Stock 260z, fun to drive, but wasn't sporty enough.... ;it was no where near as fun to toss around As my stock 280zx. That is why I ended up drifting a z car. Are you looking to keep your car L28 powered?

Just one more.. Oh and I removed all of the A/C components, interior and engine wise She's plenty lighter now and aluminum foil tape is AWESOME! It's just temporary I swear, going to get the dash redone or just go to the junkyard and find the one that isn't so bad lol |

Pictures of said manifold:
The 40$ I pulled off of an 81, looks like crap and has a dented collector Another manifold my friend bought for me, 20$: Looks a hell of a lot bigger, runners are larger and collector is bigger And my turbo manifold Friend of mine is gonna support me, works at a machine shop! Can't wait to get everything put together. Gonna put this car on hold until I buy a motorcycle for daily driving. |

Not sure if anyone has contemplated on using s13 front suspension parts?
Like knuckles with the s13 brake system with adapter lines on s130 control arms with s13 coilovers/struts? gonna try it out to see if it can be done for ease of coilovers |

I looked into doing a suspension conversion, overall it was easier to just build coilovers and buy S13 rear coilovers.

Random pictures as it's misting outside.
Looks stock amirite? Got my intercooler mounted. I wanted it to be sneaky so no one can see it from a distance. It's not bolted up completely just yet. I plumbed some ghetto tubing together and tested the intercooler, works fuckin sweeeet! we had a random 80 degree heat-wave then it turned to 40 degrees, lovin it! it has a turbonetics raptor blow off valve, not too loud |
