Might actually miss this thing. Looks pretty depressing without Sil front, chuki sides and no motor /:

got my centers back today. gonna take a bit of work to get them back in and i need new bolts, i just reused some old ones to put one wheel back together for a picture. gonna need to trim back some of the aluminum around the mounts (and yes, i tried the wheel in the freezer thing, it helped, but didnt do a ton).
anywho, heres a few pics... |

wheels are back together! nuts and bolts are temporary... got brand new ones on the way. theyll be here this coming friday along with new valve stems. now i just need to pick up some tires and get my fenders rolled! i was thinking about running 215/60/r15s in the rear to get some more meat back there (ive got a helical LSD on the way as well). fronts are for sure getting 205/60/r15s
my wheels are listed as 7.5J, but from outer lip edge to outer lip edge is actually 8.5 inches. im not really looking to run stretched fitment, just a nice squared up sidewall would be great. would a 215/60 do that? or would it bulge like a 205/60 does on a 6 inch wheel? i officially hate rebuilding SSR mesh wheels...i NEVER want to do it again! getting the discs back in is a goddamn nightmare! had to leave them in the freezer over night, sand off a ton of metal on the mounting points, and break out a huge rubber coated mallet to get the stupid things back in place... built up and tore off a giant blister on my index finger from how hard i had to pound the stupid faces back in!!! |

that looks more like a 55, not a 60. Short sidewall is where it's at.

short sidewalls on a 15 look a little silly in the fenderwell area...looks like a midget tire. its easier to rock smaller sidewalls on 16s or up.
i might try a 55 if the 60 doesnt look right. though i think that black coupe is about an inch lower than mine which makes up for the taller sidewall. fools the eye a bit. unfortunately that guy never posted tire specs in his threads |

Meh, 55 max. 60s are just too big. 205/60 will look especially bubbled on a x7.5”. Plus a shorter sidewall will give you more clearance when going low and better effective gearing at the rear end for quicker acceleration.
In other news, this thing still rules. hi res here hi res here hi res here
