im trying to decide which ones i need to get for my Y33. anyone have the length of the s14 shock vs s13 shock?
coilovers or normal, i can figure it out from there if coils max extended, and max shorteded please. otherwise, just overall length for stock shocks thanks again!

Does your car use S13 or S14 style suspension arms. Just figure out with style subframe it has and go from there. Upgarage probly has suspension to fit your car though.

nah dude
on my cedric i used s13 coils, and i use s14 rucas trust me, this thing is a mish mash of suspension. uses proprietary outer tie rods, have to buy s14 tie rods, and LCAs, as both are larger in the front. the entire rear is s14 arms, but i want ot make sure the LENGTH is correct. like if i get s13 coils, that they will go as HIGH as i need them (say as the current suspension on my car that is maxed out lowness and not low enough). id rather be too low, than too high. but if the s13 rears wont go to the lowest point of my setup, im going ot have to go to s14. Im doing a complete suspension reengineering to go lower and get more camber, its not just as easy as i wish it was subframe is proprietary also. ive been running part numbers in Fast for hours.

I think if i'm correct the s13 ones are smaller when fully adjusted to max height . But i also think i read somewhere that there just not strong enuff . Pretty sure the cedric is a little heavier then the s13 so you will either ride like dook or have to get them re-valved and stiffer springs .
::edit:: If you need i have some Tein Ha's i could measure .::: |

that woudl be cool
believe it or not, since the s13/14 are valved for a port type setup, they are even stiffer and better performing htan the ones on the car now. ive done this before, but i had a bunch of parts sitting around i could do by trial and error. i dont have that luxury now im building another setup like i did last year or whatever cedric was s13 front, y33 tophat s13 rear, s14 tophat

kind of off topic, but do you need to bolt down the bag to some sort of mounting plate so that the bag doesnt spin
im in the process of doing a bag swap on tein he's on a 98 q. also did you need to make a pipe/adaptor so that the bag can sit? |
