i changed my valvecover gasket and now the car is messed up
so i took the valve cover off my sohc and replaced the gasket tightend(spelling) everything down and started the car and it started shakeing really bad and it sounds like the timing is off, i didnt touch the cam, timing chain, or anything, the sparkplug wires have a good conection and i have no idea what could be wrong

all spark plug wires are in correctly, the hose that goes from the valve cover to the intake manifold was cracked so i duck taped it and it was still doing it. i didn't pull any vacuum lines out, could there be any on the back that i cant see that could cause this?

Sure you didn't drop anything inside. If you did cams could be eatin it up and preventing them to do their proper job causing some intake and exhaust timing problems.

If it's shaking like you say, thats typically only running on less than all four cylinders. You probably don't have one of the plug wires in the right order, or it's just not on at all.

maybe damaged when removed? if you remove it too fast then it could do that |
