Its funny how common it is for the people here to be influenced on fast and the furious. Its weird but it influenced me too. I was young and just loved the atmosphere of the car racing and didnt know what a ricer was back then. All i know is I loved fast and the furious and cars really caught my attention after that

One of my first jobs in high school was a detailer at an small garage and one of my best friends worked as a lube tech. Taught me a bunch about working on cars. Although he had an Accord he was modding, my family had always driven Nissans and I was hooked on getting the 80's 300ZX turbo (yes I'm old).
Never could save enough to find the one I wanted, then ended up moving to Japan for a year at 18. I was definitely hooked on the Z's, Supras, and Skylines that surrounded my everyday life. Also of course discovered the Initial D series, and got hooked on Gran Turismo. Then one day I was at 7-11 and I guy with a white "240" pulled up. I didn't really like the 240s in the states because the rough running KA motor, but this guy opened the hood to reveal the SR20DET. Ever since then I've loved the SR determined to build an S13 (by far my favorite of all three). 12 years later, and having owned other cars like RX7 turbos, and Z's, I still enjoy the simplicity of the 240sx... Old photo circa 2001, my first 240SX, paid $350 for it. SR swap was beginning...

I've always liked cars. Ever since I was maybe 5 years old. My Dad has been in the auto industry for about 20+ years so I've been around them. When I was maybe 9, he took me go-karting. THAT is what sparked more than a boyhood interest in cars. In 1998, I got in my 1st street race with my Neon and THAT is what made me want to know how to make cars faster. In 1999, a friend of mine sent me some Option Magazines in effort to get me to come to Osaka for duty. THAT is what got me into drifting.

Ever since I can remember, I have always been into motorsports. From Dirt bikes, to my brother taking me out in his wrx, but in all honesty buying my 240 was almost unintentional haha. Hot wheels FTW!!!

I was always one to customize my cars just to make them different from everyone elses...What really got me into this 240 thing was a combination of always wanting one...was in middle school/HS for the S13/S14 new car era and being a kid whos parents said buy your own car and work for it I could never have one...Plus always customizing one on Gran Turismo back in the day.
But what really made me get into my S13 full bore...???? |

I had always been into cars really. Having one in HS just made me go apeshit.
I was big into the RX7s thou, and though the S13 was fuggly as hell back in the day. After my Rex died, I was looking for another one or maybe a MR2 - but then I saw this. I still have the issue. Changed my opinion forever. |

Man were do I start, I have been in to cars longer then I can remember.. First started with lowriders, but was to young to own one, so built me a lowrider bike and built tons of lowrider model cars with their own hydros. Then I got a Honda and missed around in that for a couple of years. Next was a Infiniti I30t which the real mods started. Changed every thing in the front over to a cefiro, did a custom turbo setup pushing 400hp. And at the time back in the late 90s changing out the rear tail lights to R34 was big, so did that...(I know)..Then jumped into the Z

I was thumbing through the channels when I was 12 or 13 and landed on Speed channel when they were having a WRC marathon. I wasted the day away. The next week I saw rallysport challenge and bought it. I've been hooked ever since. I still play the game to this day along with d1gp.

Since I was little I was always into go karts, motocross, and bikes. My dad also was into off-roading and mudding. And when i was in HS i bought my first 240, it was a kouki also. Man that thing was sweet, until one day it was involved in a hit and run. But oh well, life keeps going and you gotta move on

When my uncle turbocharged his mk1 escort in the philipines back in 1983. I watched him through the process as he was taking his head apart and have me pass him the tools. His car was blue at the time with panasports wheels just like the attached picture.
I will never forget the day he got the car started and had me rev the engine a couple of times. He blew the motor months later in a street race and the car sat in my grandparents driveway for 10 years before he decided to scrap it. Richard tang got me into these 240s: http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/phase2motors...2198_165182070 Which eventually led to this:

The main starting point for me was when i was around 12 years old, and my piano teacher's boyfriend gave me this game:
Spent so many hours playing that game and my interest for cars blossomed from there. Started out with a pos Cavalier that I riced out, but the internet turned me into the 240 and RX7 lover I am today. Haha |

Cars/motorsports started with my dad's formula atlantic cars:
Once I saw/rode in/ met the owner of this car 240's were etched in my brain: Gran Turismo and The Fast And The Furious fueled the flames as well. Really though I was born to love cars/motorsports... |

Always wanted to see more of that yellow fa car. Thats what got me started too kinda. Formula 3 cars, used to go to races since the moment i was born. My dad's friend was the champion of f3 in Lithuania when i was about 5 and he had a very similar car as the yellow one and it was the exact same color. Love that formula atlantic car, and the fact that its yellow brings back a lot of childhood memories.
