it's debatable on the exact term for the 97-98's, but if u see s14 & s14a or s14a & s14b together then the 97-98's would always come second. they r also referred to as s14mc, minor change or something similar.

I see.... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> Having owned both... the S14 is just better. |

lol hey we're in this together againist the riced out hondas and other assortment of posers. I have a 90 fastback though. But if it comes down to it id say the S13 is a better track car then the S14 due to its lighter weight and its more compact design. Not to mention that Nissan engineers admitted to the fact that the S14 was made with more consideration towards the US market and that it had more of a "luxury" element to it then the S13. The S15 was based very closely on the S13 to bring it back to its pure sport car roots. S14 owners dont take this the wrong way, both S13s and S14s are sick and Id easily choose them over any car on the market today (besides maybe a FD3S). Its all about FR turbo cars.

I just think that in the eyes of a common person, the standard sports car image fits cars like (blech) mustangs, cameros, 180sx, s13 fastbacks, rx7s etc. Its not anything to do headlights or rear ends, its just the total composition of the car and the body lines. When i say s14's aren't sports cars what I mean is that they don't look like sports cars. S14s and silvias are in the same category(lookswise, not performance) as m3's and evo's and gt-r's....as well as preludes, civics and accords.
and considering s13's and s14's have the exact same engine looks are the only difference between them (Edited by zephyr at 11:52 pm on Jan. 15, 2002) |

LoL... speedvision had a history of BMW this morning. If anyone says the M3 isn't a sports car... they probably have an SUV up their ass.
Any car that started out with a 1.6L derrived from an F1 car can be pretty much summed up as "nasty" (just like FJ powered Skylines!! Heh) |

S13 hatchback all the way!!!! They are more solid and tossable. I see a helluva lot more 180sx style drift racers over here than I do S14 Sylvias (Okinawa) so you do the math.

I dont think the Skylines considered a "Grand Tourer" </td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'> Then where do they get GT-R from? Besides, the lines are blurred between Sportscar and Grand Tourer in many cases. I'm allowed to run STS in the SCCA b/c they don't considere my car a sportscar...based soley on the fact that it has a back seat. I never said the S14 is a coupe or a GT. It's just a sports car to me. My defining lines are: -non-existent or diminutive back seat=sportscar (240SX, Miata, Prelude) -semi-luxury sporty coupe/sedan=grand tourer (M3, GTR, Lancer EVO, WRX) |
