no dislike button please.. people tend to dislike when they don't believe your opinion, even if its honest. Back when we had the rep system, people would give you negative rep just because they where PMSing that day

No thank you, a dislike button – very much like it did when we had the rep system – would create cells of virginal idiots hiding in the anonymity of the internet going around gang-raping people they happen to not like. We know how that story ends, no need to repeat it

There's a post reply button for like as well.

For those that don't know/remember, those with negative rep or minimal positive rep could do little to no damage to your rep if they disliked something. Those with massive rep points could make massive swings in your rep points.

Yes, you can see who is liking or (if we had it) disliking, but what happens when someone dislikes something and the disliked disagrees? Gonna meet up and fight about it, or will it be a comment from a faceless screen name? No matter how identifiable we are by screen names and such, until there is in real life interaction, we’re anonymous.

That would be nice, if the paid members didn't have such a hand in blowing it the first time.

Ehh dislike button would probably cause conflict .. theres always people who take something as small as a dislike and make it something to argue over. But If people really want them might as well try it ?
