So I'm trying to get my digital speedo working and have tried everything suggested. I've checked my speed sensor, fuses, and wiring. I pulled the cluster and heated the capacitors and still nothing.

There IS something funny going on though, when I turn my head lights on, the speedo will light up and display mph for a split second then turn back off. Has this happened to anyone else before. I should mention this is a sr20det blacktop swap. There is no HUD, just a digital speedo.

Pics of my car soon, just got it and getting some of the little things fixed first.

Mine did exact same thing just fixed it loose ground on back of cluster

I've pulled the cluster and checked all the wires and grounds on it. Is there something specific I should look for? The speedo used to come on when I hit the brakes but after fixing the tail light grounds not it only comes on when I turn the lights on but it doesn't stay on. If it was bad grounds I would think tapping the cluster or hitting bumps would cause it to flicker but that doesn't happen.

Mine flickered when hitting brakes or turning on headlights turned out the little ground in middle of back of the cluster labeled GND was loose, havent had a problem since. On the Digital display pull and check for any marks on traces Even if capacitors look good and you tried heating them you cant really tell if they're bad without a ESR meter
