Damnnnnn Herb I was looking forward to your build! I hardly come on this site, primarily only to check my messages and check on the 2JZ fellas in which I came across this thread. Let me know if you need any help posting the parts on SF or ClubLexus. Good luck with the part out and your future endeavors bro!

It is almost impossible to provide an exact HP rating for the trans as there are many factors involved which would determine the limits such as driving habits, powerband, clutch choice, and most importantly TQ!
With that being said....OskiRocket (above) made 766rwhp and 648rwtq @33psi on E85 and his stock trans held up without a hiccup. Since this R154 has all new gears and bearings, MC upgrades (esp. Shifter Fork and 1st Gear Thrust Washer) I am rather confident that with a good clutch and smart driving habits his power level would be no issue. I had the trans rebuilt with 700 lbs/tq in mind as the 6766 with Log Mani and QSV would have def produced some solid TQ #s. I had bought a spare GE block which I was going to rebuild over the winter with Eagle Rods, ARP Rod Bolts, and CP Pistons (OEM Spec) in order to crank up the boost on this setup to 35+ psi on E85. I had the SPEC Clutch custom made to make sure the transmission received the least shock possible when shifting.....that was the purpose of the Dual Triple Clutch Plates. Again, if you dont know about M&S just google them.....insane shop down the block from my house. Their Transmission guy rebuilt this R154.....I am very confident all of the work done was top notch. Those guys at M&S dont fuck around. OSKI Thank you very much for the kind words. I am also very sad to have to part this as I would have loved to see your car (big brother) next to my car (ugly little brother) on the street. Would have def been a sight. Yes keep your fingers crossed....possibly next winter the mayhem will begin once I recoop some money. |

Sorry bro...yeah someone on the other forums bought the whole thing. If I run into anyone that has a spare I will def shoot you a text.
Dont do it bro.....I was literally 95% complete but the business venture requirement almost doubled once it was all said and done. I still had extra cash then but my daily car then crapped out so the combination of both situations made it impossible for me. I am hopefully putting a down payment on a newer commuter car this week so any money helps. I hate looking at this thread because it reminds me that I was so close to having an incredible setup.....the thought of the Pro-Efi capabilities alone gave me the jitters. Your build is going to be epic so dont let it go! Now onto phase 2 of life.....slow V8 build but my heart will always be with this setup. |

No I am selling the 2J due to financial reasons. The V8 I have on hand for cheap so why not. I will slowly build the setup without a rush and cheaper then what I had invested into my 2J at the moment. It will be turbo sooner than later . I am too addicted to boost to not have it in my setup.
