I was pretty excited about it at first, but now I think there isn't anything on this earth that can make this pile of shit awesome now. This director fucked up royally. I can't believe this is supposed to be coming to U.S. theaters instead of straight to DVD. The JDM version is already on the torrents.

watched it a few days ago.. it wasn't too bad actually but then again, i vaguely remember tekken's storyline and only knew a few characters.. i also read that jin is going to be ryu lol

I'm watching the movie right now. Actually, Yoshimitsu is in it. You're lame for wanting Alex, Roger and Gon in it. Kuma maybe, but those others are wack.

Is it just me or does it look like they filmed this shit with an Iphone or something? Storyline is crap. But the fights are pretty good and make it worth a download. When will they ever let Capoeira win a fight in a movie besides Kickboxer 4!?

isnt Capoeira more like dancing/martial arts? taking extra steps back and sideways and moving your arms like youre about to do a breakdance routine before attacking doesnt throw anyone off.. just gives them more time to see your movements..

This is why I get upset when I see Capoeira in big budget productions. They always foster misinformation and misconceptions because they don't understand African martial arts. Capoeira isn't anything like breakdancing and is very difficult to anticipate. What most of you ppl see and think you know about Capoeira are for exhibition/promotional purposes. Capoeira is a fighting style, a game and a dance all at the same time. Depending on the situation you'll use your skills differently. Capoeira for actual combat incorporates alot of knees, elbows, takedowns, headbutts and powerful kicks from unexpected positions. You wouldn't use most of these techniques against your classmates in friendly exhibitions, so the public doesn't see them as much.

Heres a buddy of mine demonstrating some of the actual fighting applications of Capoeira:

Lateef Crowder, who plays Eddy Gordo in the movie, is SOOOOO much better/stronger/faster in reality than they let him be in this Tekken movie.

MMA guy knocked out by a Capoeirista in 20 seconds:

Shoryuken - Tekken Producer is Disappointed with the Tekken Movie

"That Hollywood movie is terrible. We were not able to supervise that movie. (It was [a] cruel contract.)" He also responded to someone begging him to prevent further misuse of the Tekken license in films, saying "Please don't ask me about that movie. We did not have the supervision right. I don't want [to] talk about that."

...I don't see that happening. Quite thankfully. The movie is worth watching if its free, but you got punked if you paid to watch this.

whered you guys watch it lol. ill still watch this even though it sucks hahaha. just like dragon ball z and all the others. Seems like marvel movies are the ones that come out good. Seriously who writes the storylines, they always seem to miss a bunch of important characters.
