sr20det drift/track/ daily driving 240sx for trade
EDIT::: Just swapped and installed new transmission with new exudy stage 2 clutch set!!!! cost me over 500 dollars for parts and labor
TRADEr for a 2nd gen mazda RX-7, datsun 240z, 260z, or 280z, BMW, lexus and any kind of corrola 86s. NO american muscle cars unless its a classic willing to sell now too. price is at 5000. A great RELIABLE CAR, has NEVER broken down on me in the past year and ive drove it down to santa barbara and Las vegas from LA area. Just looking to get out of the drift scene b/c ive got other responsibilities now as im about to graduate from college. Car is built for drift and track but if you're a badass like me, you can daily it too since the interior is not stripped out anymore. I got about 98% of the interior back on it. -chassis has about 198,000 miles on it -SR20det motor with tranny, wit all engine seals replaced. it had 60,400 miles on it when i bought it. Compression is good. I've driven it about maybe 9000 miles on it since i bought it, 2,000 since seals replaced. -CXRacing FMIC with BOV painted black. works great and never had a problem with it. -NRG quick release 2.0 gen. with a sonic motor generic hub and steering wheel. - 2nd generation Megan Racing short shifter -Sonic motor GS recline-able bucket seat with Sonic Motor 5 point harness. -Megan Racing Oil pressure gauge and water temp gauge. -Godspeed vacuum/boost gauge -AEM air/fuel ratio gauge with a Bosch sensor ( i might keep this idk yet) - Godspeed RUCAs -Godspeed camber kit -Godspeed tension arms -Godspeed traction arms -Megan Racing street 32 adjustable damper and coilovers -Sonic Motor C-pillar -Sonic Motor rear tower sway bar -Sonic Motor front tower sway bar -Unknown aftermarket radiator that works perfectly. Quality is amazing but idk what brand it is. -xxr 002 rims 16x8 0 offset - painted white by myself. Wheels have good tires on them with the fronts about 80% tread and the rear with 95% tread -255 walbro fuel pump -Sonic Motor catback exhaust 3 inches with a 4inch outlet -Circuit sport 3inch turbo elbow (all for sr20 obviously) -Circuit Sport 3inch down pipe -Circuit Sport 3inch test pipe -Exudy stage 2 clutch with a stage 3 pressure plate -Z1 aluminum one piece driveshaft -tig weld welded diff -88 Rotors drill and slotted rotors -new clutch master cylinder and new clutch slave cylinder -steal braided clutch line -new NGK spark plugs IX iridium -new projector headlights that i never put in but i will throw in. -steel rocker arm stoppers that i have not installed but will throw in. -generic fuel pressure regulator that i have not installed but will throw in. -brand new hi-pressure power steering line installed in about 8 months ago. -heater works -progress anti-sway bar -30mm VIS wide body quarter panels -megan racing tie rod ball joints -dash board cover that covers cracked dashboard (not shown in pics though but its there) -STRAIGHT FRAME -replaced REAR tranny seal and MAIN engine seal -etc....i might have forgot a few parts here and there but 98% of everything is listed. if i remember the last few that i forgot, ill will post. CON: -needs alignment -cracked dashboard -speedometer doesnt read. censor is messed up but RPMs and everything else works -gas gauge is a little off. its off by 1 quarter of measurement so if it says you 3/4 of gas left in ur tank, it really means you only have 1/2 of a tank left. when it is full, it well go 1 quarter past the full line. Not a big deal, its just off by 1 quarter, nothing that will impair ur driving. -turn signals in the front are not connected but they do work if you have the right replacements -car was spray gun black(NOT SPRAY CAN!! rustoleum paint was used IN A SPRAY GUN to paint it) -the hood does not close straight but it is an easy fix. -no radio -no A/C -has some zebra tape on it b/c the paint was messed up during a drifting session and i was too lazy to fix it so i just taped it up (doesnt matter, its spray gun paint anyways) -Too manly for weak sauce people. Drive at your own expense b/c increased awesomess is a major side effect of driving this car its a great car and i loved it ever since i bought. Nothing wrong with it, drives strong and reliable, just looking for something else. i cant afford to keep up with drifting expenses . im not in any hurry to sell but if ur interested, hit me up. Throw me some offers, worse thing i can say is No, so no big deal, right? Text at 626 542 5061. Last edited by TC2SR; 11-17-2012 at 04:02 PM.. |

oh yea, in my pursuit to make it more daily-able, i also bought all the air conditioning parts needed to install a/c back on this sr20, INCLUDING A $70 ADAPTER PIECE FROM CODYACE, that allows you to put the a/c compressor back on the sr20 w/o having to delete your power steering unit!! anyone who has an SR knows the BULLSHIT with sr20s. You cant have power steering and a/c together b/c both units block the other one from bolting up; you got to choose one or the other....but not on this car!!! Everything comes with trade, not installed yet however.

@mofuhcka, it wasnt meant to be a daily as it was my track car about 8 months ago, as i still had my daily driver to drive around with. Considering im a college student with a part time job, i didnt feel the need to go and waste 2000 dollars on a car i wasn't gonna drive more than 6 times a month. However, due to unforeseen circumstances w/ my family, i lost my daily driver and had to use the 240sx to daily. Its a good daily and i didnt have any problems with it outside of the tranny grinding (which is now getting fixed as i type this), however as i stated in my OP, im tryin to get out of drifting to save money and time, so im looking for a more "normal" car...or as normal as an 86, datsun, or FC could be.
Please dont nitpick since I never said my car was a show car, as it is plainly stated in my original description that it was a track drift car and now turned daily. Besides, it IS stated under the CON section that it was spray gunned with rustoleum paint so its not like im not aware that's a "bad" thing. I just wanted to clarify that it was spray gunned on, not spray can. |
