Carpet adhesive fuzz removal?

Hey guys, I don't post here often, but I figured I'd ask for some tips on removal of the carpet fuzz stuff under the carpet? I removed my carpet and have been having some issue getting rid of this stuff. Any tips from those of you who have done it? Here's the fuzz I'm talking about.

Wire Wheel or Nylon Wheel. It's going to take paint off, so you'll need to paint it again.

Another option that MIGHT work (I've got no experience with this) is some sort of mineral spirit, kerosene or something similar.

Dry ice makes short work of sound deadener and undercoating.
But for that fuzz crap, I've had to wire wheel the fuzz off, then use mineral spirits to clean the glue. Still had to use a scotch brite wheel to get it off. I was repainting the floors anyway. Keep in mind this was for a 50 yr old car.
