Cranking but no spark
So recently took my car to the car wash. Washed it and once I was done the car would crank but wouldn't start. Figured I got something wet since I have hood spacers. Let the car sit for about 20 minutes and it started up. Drove it about 2 miles and died on me but all the acc still work.
My set-up -Ka24DE-T -Supertech 0.020" over 8.6:1 Forged pistons -Eagle H-beam rods -Crower 264/264 cams -ARP Head bolts -Cosworth Headgasket -Engine work - block/head cleaned & pressure tested, new freeze plugs, cylinder boring/honing -MAZWORX turbo kit w/ 4" intake -AMS fuel kit w/ 76 lb./hr. injectors -Walbro 255 fuel pump -Custom Magnecore 8.5mm wires -MegaSquirt 2 ECU/wiring harness -(4) custom LS2 coil packs I'm not getting any spark from any of the coil packs. Checked all the grounds found 1 bad ground and fixed it but still no spark. We're all here scratching our heads. Hopefully someone has a possible solution. Thanks in advance. |

Possible short elsewhere in the system. Is the ECU located inside the car? Anywhere else that water would have been able to get in and damage components? Missing firewall grommets etc.

The ECU is located inside the car. There's a hole in the firewall but it where everything runnings to the ECU but it would of had to enter at the perfect angle.. Which is a possibility but that wouldn't make sense for the car to have started again and then ran for a few miles then shut off.

Check the main fuses in the engine bay on the passenger side near the battery cables. Maybe the Engine Control fuse etc.
I would do a continuity test on them because i literally had one blow on the side where you could not see it. The window on the top does not always help. These ones. |

Ive checked almost all of that. Next step is CAS. Ive replaced all fuses and checked the harness and associated wiring. After the CAS ill probably check the packs themselves. Just hard to believe that all 4 would fail at once

Idk if this would make sense in you're situation but when my ka wasn't getting spark we found out the that the wire from the distributor to the fuel rail went right under the breather hose from the valve cover which pushed it against a sharp edge causing the wire to cut= no spark
