its not going to be like at DD where its like an autoX course, and you just drive through the course, its going to be a a circuit, like a race track, just with cones, with 10 cars, out at once, for 15 minute sessions, its great cuz you will have more runs and you can learn faster cuz when you fuck up, youve still got a couple more chances to try that turn before you forget what you did wrong, and what u want to do to try and correct. it will be good, trust me, the spinning out thing will kinda suck, so nobody spin out.

Okay everyone. Drift Tech is still on the ball for the drift runs. Qualcomm makes there events calender up six months before hand. Since it is june the event calender is being worked on now. Just to give you guys some info now. The runs will be a full course run. Groups of cars will be run on the track for 15 minutes. Groups of 10 to 15 will run at one time. Cars will be evenly spaced. Yes there will be some spin outs, but there will be flaggers on the course with yellow flags. This will be a 3/4 mile course. Yes there will room for spectators so people can take video and pics. No passengers will be allowed for the runs. At least until we feel drift events are going smooth enough to have passengers in the cars. Total capacity for cars will be 70 to 80 cars total. Cost for this will be $60 to $70 per car entered to drift. Spectators will cost $5.00. Sign ups for the drift runs will be held at drift tech in vista. Please keep in mind people there is NO DATE set yet. I will let everyone know when it is. I am really sorry this is taking so long for this to happen, But it will happen. For those of you who feel this is B.S. Keep your comments to yourself, I don't need to hear about it. I have worked long and hard to make this happen in san diego. All the negative talk does not help when there are real drifters out there who want to attend an event close to home. So until you guys can do better, Let the real enthusiast handle this.

doubt it, there isnt even going to be any more racelegal drags at qualcomm, thanks to someone at racelegal pissing off someone in the state government, which funds racelegal, so racelegal cant pay thier bill at qualcomm, now every1 has to goto barona.

ummm... well racelegal is gonna be around for a while yet, so is there any possibiltiy of it happening anymore now?

I know it's an old thread... but yah, racelegal has gotten the funding that it needed to stick around due to a lot of people writing a lot of letters and e-mails to local government people. and I think us San Diego people should be allowed to have a local event.
