s14 weird radio issue?!?!
I just bought i 95 240sx SE last week and it still had the stock radio in it. the guy said it rarely worked and only sometimes when it was hot. i figured it was just a problem with the stock unit so i bought a brand new stereo head unit and wired everything correctly but it still doesn't work. i thought at the very least i would hear some static or something but no its just silent.
Any advice or tips????? |

If it were my car Id bypass it and run new wires to each speaker or run rca's to a high power amp then speaker wire to each speaker. It all depends on how much sound you want and how much work you'd like to invest.

there must be a way to bypass it because when i bought my car there was no amp above my trunk and there were a bunch of ghettoly spliced wires instead. i assume you just take the wires out of the input going to the amp and connect them directly to the output wires from the amp, via color matching, but im not 100%. Look at the FSM for a good layout of the amp wiring. OR this link will help you a lot |
