i'd like to start by saying that i love my s13, it has been one of the best preforming cars i've ever owned. (damn fun to blow away hondas and mitsu's in a light to light). all this aside, my other love is mid to late 80's audi's. I owned a audi 4000q for about a year. this thing was a beast, i bought it a 450,000 miles for 150$ and ran it to over half a million (taching it out constantly). These things can be turbocharged (hopefully to about 12-14psi) with stock compression for well under 1000$. So, my question is -- should i sell my nissan (or use as a daily driver) and make an audi 4000 quattro turbo that can spank lightly moded wrx's or turbo charge my nissan?

yeah, but i like the idea of having a mid 80's all wheel drive sleeper (not only will it out accelerate, but it will handle almost as well). could you imagine the look on someones face when their 25,000+ dollar car got killed by a sh*t-box audi that cost 1500$

not to mention, the 86' 4000 body style really grew on me

I worked at an Audi dealer for 2 and a half years. 4000's are poo. Electronics are lame, dash is lame, body is lame. If it were me, I'd get an 89 200 Turbo Quattro and crank the boost on that big-body-biatch. Or, if you *really* love the old-skool look, look far and wide for an 84 Coupe Quattro and make me jealous. Don't buy a shitbox Audi. Even if it's an Audi, it's still a shitbox.

yeah, i agree.
but--
I have owned a quattro before and know them inside and out. Not only this, i will be making a custom wiring harness for my super crazy 110$ stand-alone fuel system!! I'm pretty sure that this would solve the million and a half electrical problems with that car.

By the way, I would love to have a turbo coupe but who has 25 G's to spend on an 85' audi
