short delay on turn off?

not sure if this is really a problem or normal however when I turn my 240 off it seems to have some kind of delay on it. no, its not a turbo timer. its kinda hard to explain however going from the on position to off it seems like the car shuts down slowly, slowing the motor over maybe 2-3 seconds max till its completely stopped. i know the previous owner wired a fan to the on position (which i plan to remove/rewire). should i worry about this or just let it do its thing? lol

I would suggest you get a video. One from inside the car showing the gauge cluster as you turn the key off.

Another while a friend turns the car off, videotape the engine. make sure you can see the pulleys (accessories) turning and make sure you get audible confirmation the key is off.

Sounds like the fan circuit is back feeding the ignition switch input to the ECU and it takes a little while for the voltage to drop to 0V.

the previous owner did wire up the fan to the ignition so it runs as long as the car is on
