Most of you guys are lucky. If your towns get hit, it's just a bunch of regular Zombies you have to deal with.
If this town gets hit, it's a bunch of Zombies that were trained killers before they got bitten. Marine Zombies are gonna suck!!

eh explosives arent a good idea, remember, if it doesnt kill the head, its worthless. grenades dont always decimate a whole human, its the shrapnel that does the most damage, and you cant control where the shrapnel goes.
your weapons line up would attract too much attention. sheesh hasnt anyone read the survival guide? and where the fuck is exitspeed on this?! mel please tell me you read the survival guide....

Mel helped write the survival guide.
I'm figuring on using a 12 gauge pump-action, with a machete duct taped to the end. If they get inside the blast, a quick swing takes off the head. Simple, effective, inexpensive.

Just google zombie survival test and you should be able to find it.
But don't zombies pretty much lose all their mental abilities when they're zombified and basically just run on a feeding instinct? That should make you ok. ... not to mention that any capable military (or former) personell should be skilled enough to avoid being zombified.

You haven't spent much time around US Marines, have you. Hell, half the infantry guys I know would probably volunteer to be bitten, just so they would be tougher to kill. It's a bit and at the same time.

you need a decent caliber gun with a silencer.

There is no "decent caliber weapon" that can remove a head like a 12 gauge and still be "compensated". A compensated .50BMG is still louder then an M16. If you're worried about stealth kills, stick to the machete. If you want quick and dead, squeeze trigger, pump in new round, select next head to a'splode.

Never before has this picture been more relevant:
Movie-silent guns that actually have any power except at close range do not exist. You need a subsonic round, and it has to be small. A .22LR can be silenced fairly well, but if you want truly quiet you pop in a .22 CB or an Aguila and get knife close, because they'll glance off the skull easily. A suppressed 9mm is still about as loud as an unsilenced .22LR, typically. The MP5SD6's suppressor is extremely efficient, though, and I've heard from those who have shot it that the bolt sliding back makes more noise. I'd like a PS90 for close-in, high-rate-of-fire stuff because it'll punch through a few heads before even thinking about stopping, although an AR chambered in .450 Bushmaster or .458 SOCOM would be nice, too. As always, a 12-gauge is necessary, so I'd choose a Valtro PM5 so I can reload faster than with an 870 or 590. Sidearm would have to be a Para PXT double-stack .40 for slightly faster follow-up than a .45 and two more rounds per mag. Backup would be a S&W Model 638 in .38 +P. I think aluminum chain mail would protect extremely well against bites while not being particularly cumbersome. If you want long-range silent, something chambered in .300 Whisper (imagine a .45 ACP's energy with longer range and you get the idea) equipped with a noise suppressor fired from beside a tree (deflects sound and hides position) and you'd have a bunch of very confused, very dead zombies. Sometimes, I think too much. |

Well on second thought... probably not. OH SNAP! I kid I kid. EDIT: I find an incredible amount of irony in the fact that my buddy I will be polishing off some beers with tonight is a former Marine.

This scientific breakthrough is great news for militant countries and sweatshop workers.
But it's not like they'll attack others and turn them into zombies by biting them, unless they're "engineered" to... |

I must make a correction to my above post: 5.7 is made to penetrate body armor but tumble in flesh, so it wouldn't punch through many heads.
I change my mind to solely the .458 SOCOM. |

hells yea for 12gauges! its the only way to disperse close mutlipul zombies attacks or clearing thru hordes of zombies. sometimes you have no time to aim. i would love to have exploding shells also.
