Upstate SC 240 owners
What's up guys. Wanted to know how many other Upstate 240 owners we had here on the board. Anyone from Greenville/Spartanburg/Anderson area?
I've seen a number of modded 240s around Greenville/Mauldin area where I live. Wanted to see if we had any others. |

There are quite a few around, no one really gets together any more though. Me and a few friends are headed to commerce/atlanta dragway (opening night) this friday though.
say hi if you see me around, i've got a gold zenki with meaty rpf-1's, usually seen around my friend with a black kouki with some fn's, you'll hear it before you see it (soon to be nismo lmgt-1's) or another coworker with an orange s14 with an s15 front, though he's rocking the 350z daily while he finishes little issues with his ka-t. |

I live in easley and own a white hatch. There are a TON of 240sx in the upstate. Seems like everyone i know owns a 240. My buddies and I have been trying to get a meet together, but for what ever reasons it never works out.
If you didnt already know, alot of us meet up at the old circuit city off haywood road near the mall every sunday night. you should check it out some time. I dont think ive seen your car around mirage. And im trying to think of the black ka-t kouki. Do you guys ever come out to circuit city? The crowd out there is cool some times.

I haven't been out on a sunday night in forever, not since it was hobby lobby/discount tire days, even then it was too much ass hattery for me to want to hang around. That and most of us work third so it makes it hard to go out sunday nights. The black kouki is actually s14 sr, orange one is ka-t, mine is s14 sr also.

Yeah, it got prett gay for a while. I stopped going out there for about a year. Crowd is pretty cool now for the most part.
I have never seen the gold or the black s14 but i did see a picture of the orange s14. My buddy anthony(you may know him, had a like a 500whp sr. Going for 700+ on the new setup) had a picture of a orange s14 w/ s15 front that was at a his work. Im sure its the same s14.

Yea I know anthony, haven't seen his car in awhile though.
Hopefully I can bust out some nice 12's at commerce friday if I can get more than 2 runs in . Last year opening night + cars breaking every 5 runs sucked. |

Haha. Yeah that would suck. So whats the deal with commerce? Id really like to run my car in the 1/4. I havent taken it to the track since i put the 2871r on it. Best i ran at greer with my old gtir t28 was 8.35 @ 86.4 mph.
Yeah i would hope to be in the 12's as well. But im not too sure. my car doesnt feel much faster with the 2871r than it did with the old t28. I got to figure out whats going on. What setup are you running?

A bunch of us are leaving friday afternoon around 4:30ish, to try and get there and get in line at the gates so we can get through tech quick before it backs up.
Stock S14 BB T28, 740's, Z32 Maf, PowerFC tuned by Balanced Performance. Best at greer was a [email protected], cutting a 1.95 60' on some 225's w/ a slipping clutch at the end of the night (that was the last and best run). I hope to better the '60 with some 275's and now I have a solid clutch setup, just have to relearn my launch and keep the wheel hop under control. |

Cool man. An 8.26 is pretty good. I think my 60' was like 2.2 or something. Is there some special event going on at commerce this weekend? \
What are you running for suspension on your car?

nah just opening night, usually packed, and you usually see lots of nice cars. I think next weekend is import face off though.
Stock springs/struts with progress sways, nismo power brace and nismo fstb/rstb's. Soon as I replace the steering rack i'll probably order some nismo g-attacks from benson, or go koni/ground control. |

I just finished up my 95 s14. Has 2jz, t67, log manifold, 46mm wastegate, Q45 diff and an whole lot more. I'm located in Greenwood Sc. Im going to try to make to Greer and Shady side this year. I had a 92 Se-r making 400 plus at the wheels and never made it to These tracks but did go to Carolina Dragway in Jackson Sc. Also going to make a couple of meets in GVille

Wow, didnt realize there were so many upstate carolina 240 members on the board. As for greer, Ill be out there every thursday night that it isnt raining. If you see me out there, come up and say Hi. My name is Chris and i have a 2871r Sr swapped white hatch. But anyways, Im thinking about trying to put together a huge nissan meet this summer. Maybe like june or so. Like i said before, every meet that gets planned always fails. Maybe this one will be different.

I'd be up for a local meet. Myself and my girl both own 240's.
She's got a 91 red coupe and I've got a 93 track prepped black hatch

For all you Upstate 240 owners, David over at NSPerformance in Spartanburg is really cool and sometimes hosts meets at his shop. They do all kinds of swaps, engine work and have a ton of 240 parts for sale. Great place to go if you are looking for a hard-to-find part. I think they are one of the few Nissan shops in the Upstate.
I picked up some used parts for him and he was a big help, they really know their stuff. |

We have moved into our new location at 16A Dudley Drive in Roebuck, SC. The new shop is nearly 3 times the size of our previous location, has A/C, and is just right outside of Spartanburg City limits. We are very excited to have the extra room, and would like to invite you all out for an open house.
On Saturday, September 12th, we will be holding our open house and customer appreciation day. We'll start at 5pm and wrap up around 10. Hope to see you guys out! Dyno runs will be 3 pulls for $20.00! -dyno's must be paid in cash only, thanks Free Pizza and drinks all night! Music! Door prize drawings throughout the night! For directions, check our website at: TDCauto.com If any of you have been at our dyno nights before, you know the crowds we draw. This should be huge! |
