Same, I thought Obama was a douche first time I had seen him on the television, and also seeing the way the media glorified him and ate up all of the television time to basically force McCain out of the picture clinched it. Fuck Obama.

Might be more persuasive if you list more legit reasons why.
Give policies you dont agree with.
Saying the dude is an asshole isnt the strongest arguement.

Going to give this some thought and post up pros and cons.

I'm not really an Obama Fan. Sure, it's cool because he's the first President to break the mold of Old-White guy for President, but other than that he's not doing anything impressive.

He campaigned on the platform of Change - though I don't really feel that he has changed much.

When he was campaigning, he very rarely refereed to himself as black - yet, now, he decided he's black.

I don't think he's Black at all. His father was from Africa and his mother was White. Black in this country is used most often to refer to those of African Slave descent - not those who are essentially one step away from being immigrants themselves. Also, his mother is white!

For what it's worth, I'm half Black and half White, and it offends me that he can so easily call himself Black. The majority of the people in his life seemed to be white, so how can he so easily essentially say he's black? It it because he married a Black Woman?

Look at the current Crisis in the Gulf with the whole "Worst ever oil spill crap". A few months ago Obama was pro-drilling off the shore of the US, but now, since he saw some dead birds and the media is playing this up as the worse oil spill ever "His Eyes have been opened to the dangers of drilling"! Look at how often there are oil-spills of this magnitude, what once a Generation? That was the most blatant Flop I've ever seen in my life.

Also, BP's oil rig has been spilling oil into the gulf for what, like 35+ days? Why the hell did he let it go on for so long, BP clearly showed they were incapable of handling it in a quick and effective fashion, so why did he wait?

Sorry for the rant, guys.

Yeah i would appreciate it if we had a president who made an effort to fight inflation.
Obamas spending is no better than Bush.
Not a fan of the healthcare bill, for the most part.
(more should have been done to regulate existing insurance co,
and less taxes should have been imposed on the public).
Pushing for too much economic regulation.
Dont care for his endorsement of Ben Bernanke for the fed.

Theres some smaller stuff, like the tariffs on China made tires,
small PR incidences that werent handled very well.
Gives too much to North Korea.

Dont agree with raising taxes for those making 125k.
Taxes should have remained the same while economy is recovering.

Unemployment remains a terrible approx 10% despite his assurances otherwise.
Pros:

reasonable exit strategy for Iraq.
campaign in Afgahn is necessary
(although focus should include Pakistan, which is also a prob).
Cooperative with Russia.

His foreign policy overall isnt bad.
Having Hillary there was a good choice imo
support of stem cell research

altho i didnt vote for him, i do work in the freight transportation industry, and it was DEAD IN THE WATER in bush's last days. jobs are finally coming back, and money is starting to be spent. people are shipping things, long shoreman are coming back, more trains are running, and getting longer more highvalue loads.

other than that....

i could care less...

Not an American so I didin't vote but if I was, I would have abstained because they both suck and really...there is almost nothing democratic about a US presidential election these days...but the same can be said any western "democracy".
