Low Idle on Cold Start?

Anytime I go to start my s13 in the morning it cranks over fine but it'll idle a little over 1000 rpm. It is not a rough idle it just idles low on start up.

Idle also jumps when coming to a stop. Are these things something I should be worried about? Will they give me problems down the line?

The car is an auto to manual swap with auto ecu.

Same issue w/ cold start in the morning. Idles extremely low, (5-700ish) and seems like it wants to stall. Happens for about a minute or so and problem goes away. Normal idle is around 1200 on a regular basis have yet to figure it out because I never have the time to tear into it.

yeah same no time at all. Runs and drives good apart from the valve seals causing a little smoke on start up so I'm really not that worried.

Check your throttle body, if I'm not mistaken there's a little pin like thing that is supposed to hold open the throttle a little during cold start until the water heats up and it retracts
