Timing marks jumping around ka24e
I have a 89 ka24e and when I try timing the car the marks on the pully keep jumping around when I have the light on it. So I can't get the correct timing. What could cause this?

Did you unplug the TPS? If you have not that is why your seeing the timing jump around. You also need to make sure the car is up to temp, drive it around for a little bit before you do so.

Try both, its been some time since I did a single cam but I am pretty sure we undid both. Regardless its not going to hurt anything if you do.

Ok thanks. If its not that what else could it be? And also would a bas coolant temp sensor cause high idle and running rich?

If your temp sensor is old replace it. IDK if I keep getting crappy ones or what but i have noticed its about once a year it needs replacing.
