just a note, when people's car's come in for major services (15k, 30k, etc...) I check the spare tire pressure if the trunk is empty

fix-a-flat doesn't always work. What if your tire is shreded? hah
I've been needing to fix my spare tire. Also, remember to never run a spare tire on the front wheels. if front is flat, swap the rear tires to the front and spare on the back. plus spare doesn't clear z32 calipers

Ditto, I never have a spare in my car, hopefully i don't get a flat *knock on wood*, but I dont have a jack in my car either, I only have tools to fix intercooler piping... AAA or friends will be my saving grace.

I believe that is for FWD cars. one little tire + one big tire in the back will wear on a diff really bad. Especially if you have an LSD.

Strangely enough, in the 5yrs or so I have been driving a car (2yrs of that being the 240 - I know it's not much but yea), I've never had a flat tire or a tire related problem.
I'm sure karma will catch up with me one day and it'll just happen but for time being it hasn't. Which sucks. |

The only reason i dont care about my spare tire is because i usally dont carry the jack because its shit or the tools to take my aftermarket nuts off. I have a truck at home so when i get a flat i call someone at home up and my truck is like the Initial D van it has everything i need to do a engine swap at a gas station.

i never had troubles with flat tires until the beginning of last summer, I got 3 flats in less than a month.
it was pretty gay, and I will be more careful of the used tires I get from now on

I totally agree. I went to help out a female friend one day with a flat tire and her car was stuck way out in the middle of nowhere. The spare tire was flat. I didn't realize this until I had the car jacked up on the side of the road and the flat off. It made an easy job a much harder one when I had to put the flat tire back on and take the spare to a far away gas station to pump it up.
heh, of course I say this and I don't even have my spare in my car. I have AAA though! |

spare tire SUCKS. I got stuck on the side of the road, put the spare tire on, IT was inflated, and i drove about a mile and that shit went flat on me. I dont think spares like lowered cars. Happened 3 [email protected][email protected]$^@&^%*&

Your car doesn't have to be lowered for that to happen. The only time I've ever gotten a flat, 6 or 7 years ago when my car was bone stock, I put on the spare and it was fully inflated when I got the car back on the ground. I drove about 100 feet and the spare was completely flat. I think we just have crappy spares.
