thanks for all the replys, its a buddy of mine on http://www.dallasimports.net
here is a direct quote from what he said "The car is agressive, bold, and unlike any 240 ever to come before. With any good design you either love it or hate it. So I expected to get the hate mail (infact I was sweating bullets the day I decided to order that silly scoop). Some of the hate mail is funny, some of it's pretty mean but for every hater there have been 20 people who absolutely love the car... Second I think some people don't understand that this is a project car, I will be the first to admit it's not everything I wanted it to be. It needs bigger brakes, better suspension, I wanted fender flares and custom wheels, I wanted to put a nice paint job on it, I wanted to use the side skirts to mount a flat underbody tray to (you can't to that with fiberglass) and build a rear diffuser. But some things were backordered (fender flares), some things take a month to make (wheels), and a lot of things wouldn't be wise for me to do since I was never really planning on keeping the car. Why in the hell would I spend a week making a oval exhaust system if the first thing a drag racer is going to do is take it off. Why would I spend $1000 on coilovers if a track junky is going to have to take them off for something with higher spring rates? Why would I spend $1000 on paint if someones just going to have it repainted a different color. If I did everything I wanted to I would have to sell it for a rediculous price like this guy. As it is, it's cheap enough someone's probobly going to buy it on ebay for less than the price of a 240+hinsonkit+engine and I'll make enough on it to pay my shop rent and start the next project.." yes were located in the dfw.. thanks again for all the replys, comments, etc etc..

The owner's got a point there. I guess.
If he did not intend on keeping the car, there's no point in creating the perfect build. He swapped the engine in, got the bragging rights for it. Might as well get rid of it and start another exciting project. |

Pretty much my thoughts. I personally think it's kinda ugly... but to each thier own, and it is different, that's for sure.
