foose has to be one of the best auto-designers out there, i've met him a few times and had small bs with him... but i would die for a chance to work with him... helpful guy too, gave me pointers on art(i'm severly into drawing/sketch with cars and stuff).
but yeah, lucky you, get him to sponsor you a drift car, i know he supports the sport |

I could be wrong, though I doubt I am, but the car needs a good set of low & high beams (NOT PIAA), plus a pair of more functional turn signals. To me, its obvious that this car is missing certain requirements like the aforementioned in favor for aesthetics. The vehicle is also missing reflex reflectors and/or side-markers, but I assume its not registered as a vehicle and therefor not subject to such requirements. I dont even see a rear license plate, let alone a front one! haha F-U Beverly Hills PD! I'm currently working on an updated set of lights for the Ariel Atom. Like the Atom, I am sure the Hemisfear is regstered as a Specialty Construction Vehicle. Anyway, there's always room for improvement.. but at what cost? Its obvious that aesthetics are top priority on that vehicle. I doubt the car is driven enough to justify the effort in attaining a better lighting system. |

People dont understand that nothing comes for free in this world, and that if you accept a sponsorship - there are terms that come with it. Many cars that are sponsored arent even allowed to be driven much, the companies that sponsor you end up practically owning your car. Anyone with a good set of balls would prefer to pay and build their own cars, rather than ask for handouts. |

Just shy of $300,000 brand new.
I thought this picture might appeal to a few interests here.

yuri already has a car that he build obviously.. or w/e... but foose has always been involved in the sport and i'm sure would build a sick car to be drifted... and good luck making it in the "pro" drifting circuit w/o a sponsorship, there are a few of them out there... but yeah, i guess you didnt understand why i would say it either way... foose is the man, yuri.. your lucky to have such a kick ass job(i was always into cnc*took 3 years of it in school* and have made small scooter(cushman) custom one off wheels, but nothing bigger than that other than key chains and stuff.. |

its a custom car, it has to be appreciated for what it is - not what it ISNT. when you have enough money to buy stuff like this, you typically dont end or own just that one car - you have multiple cars in your collection. |

damn yuri, thats cool, that chip foose stops by to say hi. I really love his work. I need him to overhaul a 62 lincoln continental. lmao.
and for the record boyd coddington is the biggest most arrogant head up his own ass prick ive ever met. I met him at sema 2 years ago at hard rock, and I was drinking a few, and my memory was off, and as he was next to me at the bar, I was like " "damn, I know you from somewhere" his son standing next to him says" yeah, where?" with a shit eating grin on his face like the fact that he is on tv gets his jollys off. and I say "I don't know, man, but I think I have seen you on tv" the boyd looks pissed, and the son says , "he has a car show on tv....." I give up and shrug and say oh well, I forget. the son says "ever hear of Boyd Coddington????" and I said, "thats right, Boyd Coddington" than Boyd says"You better know!" this pissed me off, first off cause his work really isnt good enough to get him his own show. and plus cause the arrogance of it all. So I say, "well I guess I couldnt remember cause the only car guy from tv that I can remember is CHIP FOOSE. the both looked like I just shat in the dinner. fuck those guys. |

Boyd Coddington took a car Foose built and called it the Boydster. I used to work with the guy with the weird face after he quit working on Boyd's show. Boyd's a total dick. Apparently both Chip and Jesse James used to work for him. |

That is one of the sickest rides I've ever seen. That guy is amazing. He strays from the norm and everything he designs is just beautiful. It's all just poetry in motion. There would be no sort of comparrison to any modern day supercar because the Hemisphere is so unique. It's the best of 3 worlds. I'd take and Enzo or a Vanquish but the Hemisphere would be top on my list.

Anyway, Chip is cooler then Boyd. Even if OverHaulin' is off the air, and American HotRod is still on, Chip is still more popular. The only reason Boyd is still on TV is because being an asshole draws a crowd.

Agreed. I really don't like much of Boyd's designs and he seems like a grumpy old man. Chip on the other hand is awesome as hell. I really admire his work and look up to him.

overhaulin is off the air? man that sucks. though I'm surprised they are still running reruns of it (caught the end of an episode last night).
I've always loved what Foose did with muscle cars, and i love his attention to detail. I'm not so crazy about this car, but only because I've never been a fan of fenderless roadsters. The rear end looks a little funky to me as well, the way the 'fenders' are ridged up doesn't look right. But that front suspension is gorgeous, and the interior is much better than most hot rod interiors, which usually look like they have been attacked by the la-z-boy factory.
