s13 "another" diff question??

so iam running a j30 diff on my s13. if I wanted to upgrade to a 1.5 kaaz or use a nismo diff(no pumpkin). then I need to source/use a stock s13 diff pumpkin. or can these options fit in the j30 housing??

iam thinking not as the j30 is bigger but iam wanting confirmation..

pretty sure an R200 diff is an R200 diff... could be wrong though.

im thinking the only difference may be the length of the output shafts. you can trim them down a bit if theyre too long.

but the pumpkin size wouldn't be an issue?? iirc the j30 diff is slightly bigger than a s13?

i dont think the pumpkin size matters, just as long as the ring gear bolts up, the pinion gear fits the ring gear properly and the diff itself fits inside the pumpkin with no interference.

i could be wrong as ive never messed with a J30 pumpkin before... but all R200 rear ends are damn near the same with the exception of the S15 HLSD which uses output shafts that are native to it and it alone (29 spline Open/VLSD vs 30 spline S15 HLSD)
