Bill: if you cant make it, thats no big deal...and anyways that is just a tentative date, if it would be better to do it on a saturday or sunday, i can try and arrange that, i just gotta make sure the shop will be open. the whole reason for having everyone go is so that people can try on the stuff before they buy it, but its not a necessity, of course we can work somethin out if u cant make the trip. so far i think i have 5 people who want to buy a helmet, so sounds like ive already met the minimum requirement.
Mr Migs: kool man, im going too, do you know what hotel you are gona stay at? maybe we can all get rooms near each other, or just share a room for cheap. let me know! im still not sure if im gona participate, if anything i MIGHT go on the skidpad, but im definitely gona go to take pics and shoot some video.

so mike, your just gonna go to Buttonwillow on the 2-3 to hang out and watch? Then you only have to pay the track entry fee (a few bucks i think)......If so I might be interested in going, I wanna check out the track, but i dont have the cash to race this time.

Usually, the instructors won't let you get that close to another person on the turns... As far as I know, your only insurance is the insurance you have normally.
Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to make it because of the timing (too close to new years and christmas and I might be in Vegas that weekend

maybe we should think of moving it back a bit because a lot of people cant seem to afford it or the timing is off...just a thought
oh and bill....GNX's and Grand Nationals are rare cars, i doubt you can find one for much cheaper than $15,000. if you want me to snap some pics of that particular one, ill head down there with the digi cam, even though its pricey.

I dont think its possible to move the event matt, this is like a special deal since we're renting out the track from someone else that is renting out the track... or so I thought?

Maybe each one is different. *Shrug* Wheel to wheel racing is probably not allowed but I don't think they stop anyone from tailgating, even at turns. At least that's how it seemed at the only track event I've been to. |

In almost every case I know of insurance does not cover anything on the track, your on your own.
And SR20 is right, it can't be moved around like that. we would have to setup a different date/track all together. so I figured this was a good time. People are not in school and maybe off from work, home for the week.... that kinda stuff. I am going regardless i hope. So we just need as many people as possible. SPREAD THE WORD!!! This is cool deal, dont let it go to waste.

Hey Nissan_driver24, we just have a BBQ meet a few weeks ago. We already had 2-3 meets and we want to change the direction a little bit and go for the track date. I do agree that we should put the track date next year. Cause most peeps don't have enough money, and if they start to save up this month then they'll have enough next year.. So i don't know, am going to a job interview in like 10 mins so i don't know if i would be able to go to track date. Cause i too need money. haha. Peace

170 dollars is not a lot of money. Granted you will spend more, but you should all be able to come up with this. If you have a job at least. Are you too lazy to find something around the house to sell on ebay? Can you not walk downtown and pick up change of the street? What about the change in your ashtray or couch cushions? I know you can all come up with the money, if you put forth the effort. Its not like this track event is a million dollars or anything.

Well, just checked the couch and found a little bit of change, but I have to do some laundry tonight, so there goes that. Mabe if I don't wash my clothes, eat, or drive for the next two months I can make it. I don't know. I am trying, but it's a lot of money since I don't have a helmet and it's also right after Christmas (I don't think I can get away without buying a few gifts). I am going to really try though, I'm saving all my pennies But don't put me on the list as going, cause I just don't know

Alright heres what you do. You can rent a helmet, but you're going to want to buy a bottle of febreeze. Thats like 3.50, so add that to the 170. Now for Xmas gifts, go to albertsons (or other grocery store) and buy a bag of charcoal. Put this in stalkings. You can also buy the febreeze there. This should be about 6.00, so now your total is 179.50 Tell your family that money was extremely tight because you had to pay extra rent or power bills or something. They wont hate you because at least you had a sense of humor to buy coal

BadMojo, sorry but I'm not signed up for the one in December. Its a bit too close to Xmas for me and I think I'm going on a snowboarding trip during that week.
Did someone mention about insurance? From all my experience, your car insurance will not cover anything that happens on the track. When you race on the track, you'll sooner or later sign a waiver stating that, either during online registration or when you get to the event. Track usually don't allow passing in turns, it's dangerous and you'll get black flagged (I know, I did it, got black flagged and had to stay out for a few laps). But if all goes well, you shouldn't be concerned with insurance. Just don't be a crazy ass nut and try to push your car beyond your or its limits. Doing that only puts other people and cars in danger.

Oh BTW, does anyone know the owner of the SWEET electric blue Sil-080 in the Saratoga area? I was on my way back from school and I stopped over at Mitsuwa Marketplace off Saratoga Ave. At the light, there was a nice blue Sil-080 conversion 240sx. Nice car man. Mucho props. My mom likes your car too. I was in the white FC TII on the other side of the light.
