i'm assuming that since the 240 is EFI, the pump's going to be in my gas tank... but am i going to have to drop my tank to get to it? i've seen EFI cars where there's just a panel in the botom of the trunk that allows easy access to the pump...
i'm going to pull a different pump from the junkyard since i don't know if the whole of my problem is my fuel pump... so, i guess my next question is which cars can i pull pumps from that'll fit my 240 exactly? besides another 240, duh. are all 240 pumps the same from '89-98? also, i know you'll all probably tell me to stick a Z32 pump in there, but... i doubt i'll find any z32's in the junkyard. how much are new fuel pumps? and, finally, what about the 85-89 300ZX? would it's pump be of any advantage to have on my 240? |

You're right about getting to the fuel pump through the trunk. It is very easy to switch. My friends swapped mine in the 30 minutes it took me to get from work to the garage the car is at. I could get details from them if you need it.
As far as what/where to get a pump I can't help you - my engine came with an upgraded pump so I never had to buy one. |

Walbro makes great fuel pumps for our cars. For all cars, for that matter.
