Hey I was just wondering what everyone's second car was or do they drive their 240 year round? If so mention if you got an engine swap or not. Thanks

Nope, I drive my 240 all the time. I love that thing, it makes going to college in the morning bearable. No engine swap yet, just your basic bolt-ons. When I get a turbo / swap I am still going to use as a daily driver. I just love it way too much!

I bought a beater 300zx. it's an 88 and beat up but it's so much fun. The auto will be nice in the snow too. I drove my baby through last winter and I promised her I wouldn't do that again if at all possible.

I have the unfortunate situation of living in a warm tropical climate where it really never gets cold or snowy. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> Yeah Florida does kick ass <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> 240 all year round!!!

you got a VLSD though, it wont be that bad, just get some really nice snow tires set up like blizzak's, or something studded. it's worth the couple hundred dollars, and your VLSD will help alot

Well the 240 will be year around for now... I can't afford a second car, even if it is a beater... the 240 costs me 2100 a year in insurance, a second car would murder me... but I almost bought an ae86 last week for 650 canadian.. good shape too... idiot didn't know what he had... there was another one some jackoff abandoned in front of my office too...

bing: i used to own a 84 318i RWD with a LSD, and the mofo handled better in the snow then ANY FWD car I have ever driven. Id go as far as saying it was as good as any AWD car. I love BMWs <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

240sx year round, including the snow. When things get really bad, I'll use my pickup for it's higher ground clearance. Other than that, my 240 will be continuing it's ~80 mile per day commute, three days a week. Poor thing has already taken 20,000 miles since I bought it in April.
