please keep an eye open for my friend's wheels. Was stolen last night.

Reread your contract/agreement of your gated garage. Is that garage used as parking for tenants of an apartment complex? It should state what exactly is covered and not covered as liability.

If those wheels are valued more than what is considered in small claims and you have the receipts for proof pursue legal advice and go from there.

A gated parking garage with a history of thief or even a one time incident of thief is useless and you are more than entitled to question the property management.

I assume your friend had lug nut locks, but the thieves had tools to strip them off or possibly similar keys to remove them.

Was there no surveilance (cameras..) at that complex? no neighbors heard anything? Good luck in your search..
