HAHA I've got some KFC DVD's...And Broskow kills it...Skates with such power. I guess it comes from playing hockey. And it was funny to watch him go from baggy sweatpants to girl jeans in less then a year... |

Yes, used to skate with them a lot, especially Mike. Alex's apartment is close to my friend's, he is a funny guy. I remember before I knew them personally, I would be starstruck whenever we ran into them at a spot, haha. I believe AJ might be premiering his new video soon, I will probably go to that.

Started skating in 1999-2000.
First skate - Oxygens off ebay Then got some Salomon Feinbergs Then some Shima's Then took a long break, and then couple years ago bought a dead stock pair of Shima 1 off ebay Awesome thread, brings back good memories of watching videos (on VHS) and skating street. Good to see some people are still skating. |

i skated from 8th grade till 10th. somehow i convinced my dad to buy me Fatty Pro's over the backyard bobs. i did well, mostly with grinding, never stepped up to rails tho. i started in florida, but when i moved back to WA state, there were too many rocks on the sidewalks etc, and hills to really get around and find places. i did skate a bit with my 4-wheel wanker friend, who ended up getting his car towed that had my skates in his trunk, and i never saw them again. at the same time i too was more interested in cars by that day. Oxygens were tough to skate in, Roces being even harder. i tried on a set my buddy had like 3 years ago, and whatever they were, theyre more cheater than anything. the sole was like a fuckin inch on each side i swear. but whatever, times change.

I will tell you this much, it is quite a transition. You wouldn't think it would be that difficult, but it is. The rockers get caught on ramps all the time because the edge of the ramp will hit the frame near where the rockers are, it makes you change your technique. I don't think that rockers really change your technique involving knee bends and stuff, it feels the same when trying to grind and stuff. It lacks in speed big time, and turning is wierd when coming from flats. Whatever though, I am getting use to it, I guess.

Makes me reminisce quite a bit, I spent most of my childhood/teenage years rollerblading, started with roces, then razors which is where I came up with my login from and recently picked up a pair of the new remz os2's but just haven't skated in forever so its hard to get back into for me, I dunno I feel old now lol. I used to live around the corner from Real Ride skate park so I was there all the time I remember seeing Fabiola Da Silva there once so I remember the starstruck feeling hah. Now I moved recently but its only 30 minutes away still. But damn the sport has come a long way since I started I can't help but think about getting back into it just don't want to fuck myself up.

I used to skate as well, but I sucked in general. I enjoyed doing cess slides down steep banks more than anything, haha.
I still have my skates, but they are too small for me now. I used Salomon Feinbergs with white ground control frames. The advent of UFS was the bees knees.

Wow, let me demonstrate how old I am. I don't remember the exact name, but I started off with these California Pros or blades? or something? The wheels weren't even rubber, but a hard plastic. So, when I t-stopped, it would turn my wheels into uneven razor blades.
My second pair, was the lightnings. 3rd pair, I stepped up to the lightning TRS's, which I really, really enjoyed. Back then, we didn't have all of these fancy brands, making aggressive skates. My friend actually made his own grind plates!! They didn't work too well though, because they were metal, and way too thin. Even though, our equipment was no where as advanced as what guys have now, we were tearing it up! 10-15 stair 360's? Hell yeah!! A couple of years down the line, I decided that I wanted to get back into skating. Bought a pair of Chocolates, but was unable to find anyone in Hawaii to skate with. So, I never rode them, and ended up selling them. Rollerblading, brings back some of the best memories, that I will ever have in my life. Sometimes I think about getting back, but my body is nowhere in the shape that it used to be, and the scene is so small here. So, if you guys got buddies to skate with, take advantage of it!! |

Ok so when you said hella ghey what were you referring to? Your liking for rollerblading? Or to stir up shit? I am relaxed, but when you post worthless shit expect to get called out on it.
