"HEY!!!!!!!! Are you selling your car?" "No way man"
i have a s14 kouki. i went to my grandparents' today and they live in condos. so right after i parked my car, this guy in a truck was coming towards me going at least 45mph in this little parking lot. then he yelled out the window asking me if i wanted to sell my car and said he's been looking for one for a long time. and i said i am not selling it no matter what.
it's kinda freaky how much attention our cars are getting. everyone is like silvia this and silvia that, and how much they want to drift. other times, people came into my work (i work at a store by a highway) asked me whose car it is and if i was selling it. last year, in high school, everyone knew my car and as a result, knew who i was. it's scary how many people know that i have this car even tho it looks completely stock on the outside. i don't go to ricers' hangouts and i don't even race anybody. makes me appreicate this car even more knowing how many people dream about having one. but i have decided that i would keep my car forever since 2 years ago when i first got it. and i would never sell it unless someone offers some ridiculus amount of money for it. otherwise, it should be in my gargage when i turn 60. do you guys get the same thing a lot? |

Yea I get alot of looks since I have that front end AND black headlights. Some people look at the shield 'S' and wonder what the heck it is (I like that actually). I get comments like "your should get a silvia motor swap" or "that silvia front end really cleans the car up".
I would sell my car...for $4000-$5000....but nobody wants it.

What a crazy thing
I work in an office building and usaully park in the back parking lot. But yesterday i had to park out on the street. anyways i come out at the end of the day and when i get to my car there is a business card jammed in my driver side window that says: "Im really interested in your 240sx. Its exactly what im looking for. If you interested in selling call the number on the front." It made me appreciate my car way more than i thought possible. its good to be a 240 owner!!!!!!!!!!! |

but damn, 5000 for a kouki s14 is a good price in the US, if i was out of college, i would buy it just to put in my gargage. honestly, i probably wouldn't sell mine for $50k, but that's just me. |

Your 240 is not that special. Neither is mine. For $7000, it's yours (and it's worth far more than that if I were to build it again). I'll go out and buy a used Golf TDi tomorrow. Silver, please. Eric

the 240 is a great car and I don't see myself ever selling it, but as time goes on I want to own many cars. The thing to remember is not worry what other people are doing or saying about your car, just worry about yourself.

Yeah, I'm planning on keeping my car for quite a while as well. If someone offered me 50,000 dollars for it, hell yeah I'd sell it, but I'd take the money and go buy another s13 plus a few other cars.
As far as the other cars mentioned... WRX, WRX STi, Lancer EVO VIII, Nice cars, no doubt, but I hate 4-doors 350Z, G35 Coupe, Awesome cars, but a little too heavy. I'd still want an s13 as well. 330Ci, M3, Really don't care for Bimmers that much. Personally, I just think they look like ***. Boxster, Biggest hunk of crap Porche has ever made. older 911 Carrera, really old 911 Turbo, Honestly, I don't have a real reason for not wanting these cars, they just don't fit me I guess. really really old Ferraris, etc., Older Ferarri styling is too curvy for my taste.

944's are rolling trashcans. Rather drive an Edsel.
(BTW, I am here but mostly lurking. I im P i s s e d that someone would question my integrety) That is why I will post only when I want to. Zilvia interation is something I look forward to each day. Perhaps eventually, I can be comfortable enough to get back to it without the bull sheit posers being facious and just plain ignorant. All others that want to ask my advice (be it good, ok, or blaazay) use the PM and I will promptly answer, or just email be at [email protected] I certainly love this forum, but haters will get my bad side in due time. I don't play games. Use the PM if you want to. Yes, 240's are quite magical because they have the finest rear suspention layout ever put on a production car in 1989 (being for 89, top flight) Other than the hassels of having problems from an older car, and always wanting to have power to kill everything that comes in contact with you...the cars are as capable as any, I think they look and feel damned good. One day in about 20 years, the 240SX's will be rare (due to too many folks totalling them) and the styling will remain quite fresh, no matter what. It is a good car overall. Fun in droves. |

I will never sell my S13 unless I absolutely have to, and then I would only sell to a knowledgable enthusiast.
