Urgent! S13 brake pad issue need help asap

So im doing a 5 lug swap and figured hey while im in there since we getting new 5 lug rotors lets do pads as well!
So i shimmy on down to autozone thatbwas a zillion miles away because they were the only one that had non abs s13 brake pads. Pick em up, drive home, pull the caliper and find this

https://i.imgur.com/GsW4x3K.jpg

The pads i just bought, are significantly shorter than the ones that just came off. Im super confused. As far as i know the car has the oem s13 calipers, so why are the pads so short? Am i missing something? Please let me know if you know whats going on because a car with the front calipers just sitting there padless doesnt do me any good

So...

Post the images of your calipers, post the part number you bought.

I'm almost positive your car has Q45 front calipers... Just an FYI roughly 1995~

You can obviously tell, because 240SX calipers are single piston. Q45 fronts are dual piston.... Look at the red pad.

Also could be ABS calipers as they are larger.

Also worth mentioning the top slide pin on the caliper bracket doesnt come out, i tried beating with a flathead and mallet and it doesnt budge. Bottom slides right out.

You guys think maybe i do need the abs pads? I hear they are bigger but they have metal clips on the pads that my original pads only have on the outer portion and not on the pad inside near the strut? Its confusing though because my car doesnt have the big abs thing in the engine bay

Abs pads are bigger. Verts used the abs ones as well.

that guide pin can be a problem though, you need that thing moving freely.

I was hoping you really did have Q45 calipers, maybe you can upgrade now? lol

So figured it out. Car had abs but prior owner removed it so jt needs abs pads, but when i originally got abs pads they sold me the wrong ones so i had got non abs pads that were too small. Returned em and got the right ones and they fit.

Lock her up, problem solved
