I Need A Truck
Nothing to huge.
I just need something for freeway trips and it has to be able to tow my Corolla. Looking to spend around $6k. Fuel economy is cool also but, not exactly necessary. What would you recommend?

10th gen f150
cheap won't give you up won't let you down won't run around and desert you i regularly borrow my dad's for hauling stuff, it's pretty much invincible v6 gets good mpg and can tow stuff fine, but i'd go for a v8. if it's always going to be on asphalt don't bother with 4x4, it only rains where you are

You can buy my truck 4,800 2001 dodge ram. I've used it plenty of times to pull my 280z, 240sx, 280zx, 300zx drives like normal. =]

are you gonna be towing? Just hauling stuff in the bed? If you aren't towing, I say chevy s10. If you are towing, i agree on the v8 F150 or Ram 1500

I( had a 98 F150... Well my dad did. He went off to the desert, my mom drove it for an entire year without changing the oil, crashed it a few times, got it dirtier than a vietnamese hooker in the mud, and guess what?
It still ran. I hate ford cars, but I love ford trucks.

The only gripe I hear about F-150's is the interior, and it's true it looks like dog shit. It's an American vehicle what do you expect

ehhh... they have quirks too... they had some wiring issues and some burst into flames spontaneously, but what the fuck, every car has issues right? BTW, my grandfather is a die hard f150 work truck guy...

I bought a 99 Jeep Cherokee as my winter truck last month and I love it so far. The 4.0 straight 6 gets 23mpg or better highway and it can haul 5,000 pounds.

That may actually be a viable option. There are plenty of 98-2000 2wd with under 80k on them for around 4k

cummins for the serious win, jeeps have a great inline 6. 1st gen tundra w/ v8 is pretty coo, but i think a 96ish suburban is where its at, both my brothers had one and its straight gangster

Plus, parts are cheap. I know any American vehicle is going to be cheap to repair, but goddamn are OE replacement parts cheap. |

if you can't fit a 4x8 sheet of drywall in the bed it's not really a truck. Quote:
