A message from WSIR.....PLEASE READ ALL DRIFTERS
This went to ALL DRIFT EVENT HOLDERS
It seems people dont follow all the rules which makes it harder for others to have fun... Just a reminder that if you Purchase your insurance for your event through Willow Springs Raceway there are to be absolutely no passengers unless you have an instructor in the car. If that is the case then you can have the instructor and one (1) passenger in the car at a time. We have been seeing up to 4 passengers in the car at one time with cameras hanging out of the car. This is unacceptable. If you were to have this many passengers in the car and something were to have gone wrong the insurance company would not cover you due to not following their policies. If you would like to have events where passengers are allowed you can purchase your own insurance through a different insurance group. Affective immediately WSIR will be monitoring all drifting events. If we are to see that you have passengers in the cars we will stop your event immediately and escort the group off of the balcony circuit with NO refunds. We have also noticed that after events there is fence knocked down and WSIR was never notified. Over the past year we at Willow Springs have tried to make rules a little lenient for the drift groups after they have shown that they are responsible and professional enough to put on at least two events at the Balcony Circuit. If these incidents do not stop we have no other choice then to make a mandatory rule that Fire Rescue is to be at each and every Drifting track day at any and all of our tracks. This rule will apply to EVERY drifting organization that comes to Willow Springs Raceway. If you are not aware of WSIR Policies and procedures please feel free to contact us in the main office and we will be more than happy to discuss them with you. If you have any questions or concerns you may contact Jim Hutchings or Myself at 661-256-2471. Autumn Soriano Accounts Receivable Willow Springs Raceway 661-256-2471 .

Unfortunately this is the kind of attitude that WILL put us on the streets(and not the Streets Of Willow). Rather than saying "ok people let's try and keep this going so we can ALL continue to enjoy drifting" it's "oh well FUCK IT!" .
SORRY PEOPLE THAT'S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH! |

And YES we ALL(organizers, drivers, spectators, groupies, etc.) need to be responsible during our events and beyond. Just ONE person can RUIN it for EVERYONE. So follow the rules, be considerate of the event and venue staff, pick-up after yourselves and continue to have FUN. |

That's strange. A fence was knocked over at the balcony? And which one?
And I don't think fessing up to who knocked over the fence will change anything. I think Willow wants to regulate on everyone now. |

This shit really sucks.
626DRIFT EVENTS has been holding 1 or more events a month for over 2 years at Balcony, HTM, and OVAL. Over the last several month I have seen an increase of other event organizers popping up. Some of these people run decent events, and some of these people have absolutely no business being in control of an organized event or anybodys safety. unfortunatly, this is going to ruin it for everybody. get ready for less seat time, more cars, and larger entry fees everyone. Mandatory Fire Safety is gonna suck. |

We run a pretty tight ship at 626, and have a good relation ship with WSIR.
When we have problems, we take care of them at the next event. Im worried about the other events blowing it for everyone. |

I think everyone has broken at least one rule... How many cars do you have running tandem with no cage? just because an organization has been around for a while, doesn't mean their events are 100% problem free. We at DriftDay have been hosting events since 2001, and we still have the occasional screw-ups. No organization will be perfect ALL of the time. This is why we need to relay this msg to every staff member of ALL organizations to prevent WSIR from looking down on drifting as a whole. Yes, other events could potentially ruin it for others, but Don't ever rule your organization out. you never know. |

I would just like to say that whom ever is doing these stupid things that are about to/already have caused a big problem for the people that enjoy doing events at WSIR is very inconsiderate and down right STUPID !!!
You are idiots for doing these things that are going to cost us one of the only places that let's us hold drifting events. I know that I can speak for a lot of people that will agree with me and say that they enjoy WSIR and the space that they have given us. I personally will be watching everything that goes on at any WSIR event and if I see anything going on that is against the rules and or just down right stupid I will make sure that those people are never allowed back to WSIR to participate in any future event. DON"T BE STUPID !!! RESPECT THE TRACK AND IT"S RULES OR GET DELT WITH !!! DON'T RUIN IT FOR THE REST OF US !! |
