whats my problem???

ok well i have finally got my 98 kouki, stock ka, running and today was my first day it hit the road in almost 6 months, i was swaping motors slowly very very slowly. its started perfectly so i thought i was in good running order. i drove it for about an hour and it started idling like shit, the speedometer would go to zero like it dies or something while the revs were still showing... i had to jump start it multiple times cuz it would die with in seconds. the check engine light is on so im going to have to check it out.

im just wondering if anyone knows what could be my problem

thanks guys

Why did you have to jump start it??
that means your battery is dead,
So your alternator probably isnt charging the battery, cause it to stumble and it to stall out.
Then you got to jump start it. means the alternator is bad. Or the battery is bad and the alternator is what keeps it running while you keep the revs high.

From your description, thats the problem. Take the battry out of another car, put it in and see if that solves it. Otherwise from what you said, it sounds like the alternator.

Or its something else and the word jump start should be replaced with something else

make sure the battery has water in it too. if its dry, it wont hold charge.

In a jam, you can fill it with distilled or even hose water, but your battery life will be alot shorter. (but in a jam, )
