tuning carb boosted is just like tuning an n/a carb. its the FPR that is important.
im pretty sure you need to up the CFM.
its the carbs with the boxed in enclosures(non blow through) ,that would be a B!

but what do i know!

LOL.Yeah i thought of that too. But its just a mock up,its not the actual thing going on it..just put it all together to see how it looked..

Made a 3" down pipe for my st165 celica all trac beater shitbox from an old honda down pipe.





Only my second time working with stainless, so welds at the end were significantly better than at the start >_<. Too much heat haha.

yes but it create backpressure which in turn will effect power thus eliminating the all purpose of having a exhaust.
now you can have a good flowing muffler thats quiet just have to find a give and take.

Idk much about carbs to be honest. But i talked to them and they said this would work for my setup,and it says "QUICK FUEL 750 ANNULAR MECH BLOW THROUGH GAS DRAG RACE Q-750-BAN
Calibrated for blow-through applications

So im guessing it will be bolt on and go,besides properly jetting it and tuning it..as well i will need a boost reference FPR to raise the fuel PSI as more boost goes up or something like that..but thanks for the info.

I'm not from your area but i would think any well know muffler shop around your area should carry exhaust tubing...I Googled up something around your area dont now how far it it but they dedicate themselfves just to muffler and headers check em out. Good luck tho

You need a proper torch and cup setup too.

Proper torch won't help that. That'll prolly crack pretty quickly, you can't overheat stainless like that

Set your machine at 45amp and get used to it like that. if you need more than that to do 16ga without back purging you're doing it wrong.

Alright guys just a quick answer/opinion.... I just asked a local shop in my area on the cost of getting my S14's engine bay fully stitch welded and the front tubs redone, i was quoted 500 just for stitch welding and another 1100 to redo the tubs does that sound like a fair price? btw the motor is out. thanks in advance for your input guys.

yea seems fair based on labor hours needed to perform everything.
ask if you did the prep (stripping, sanding or weld areas) and cutting the stock front tubs out if it will cut cost on there part. up to you if you can do those things to save some $

As a shop owner I don't usually drop the price for stuff like that. You're more likely to back the fabricator into a corner with something you shouldn't have cut, or they'll have to re sand everything to their liking anyway.

Those prices seem on the high side, but if you think their work is worth paying that then its probably worth it to pay more.

There are so many people out there that claim to be fabricators now a days. Those are legit prices back before the economy took a shit and everyone decided that they were all of the sudden a fabricators, and started lowballing jobs and pretty much putting a lot of more legitimate shops out of business. Just remember, like McRussell said, legit work deserves a legit price.

thats a nice piece of machinery you got there for ww2 old lathe. looks good, i like how the la blondes run though. they're easy to use but tooling is the expensive part.
