17x9.5 +12 on S14 w/stock sheetmetal

I checked the wheel whore thread (up to about pg 15) but need a quick answer.

Can I use 17x9.5 +12 wheels with stock fenders on a basically stock S14? I can get whatever size tires are necessary.

Plans are to get coilovers and lower the car - but prefer not to drop it on it's balls.

In the whore thread, it seemed like guys have a better time tucking when their car is DUMPED.

Will I need suspension with adjustable camber, overfenders, or both, to pull this off?

Thanks

I run 17x9.5 - 8 XD9's (17x9.5 +17 with a 25mm Bolt on) on standard Metal front fenders with just the lip tapped flat. Otherwise its 2.9deg of Neg camber & a 225/45/17 Federal. so yes. You will be fine

Go with some 235/40/17s and roll the fenders. You won't need a whole lot of neg camber and a 235/40 is still a minor stretch. No need to run a 215/40 or 215/45 or anything like that.

I'm currently running 17X9 +3/-2 on my car right now with 215/45s all around. A 17X9 -2 is equivalent to a 17X9.5 +7 FYI.

OK a little update:

I scooped up some Ksport coilovers and got the wheels:
Front: +12 17x9
Rear: +12 17x9.5

It's time to buy tires and I can't afford to mess this up. Would rather be safe than sorry. I'm willing to roll/pull fenders but not buy overfenders.

Front: 235/40?
Rear: 265/40?

Besides this, it's a bone stock s14. I just want some reassurance before I pull the trigger on ANOTHER $1k purchase

215 on the front and 235 or 225 on the back. This sounds about right...?

This is weird, I was going to post the same question but for my s13 with coil overs, same 17x9 +12 in the front and 17x9.5 +12 in the rear, I don't have my rear fenders rolled, will I get stuck?

What wheels did you get?

17x9.5 Rota P45R - Full Royal Sports Bronze(4X114.3/e15/73) Wheeldude.com - Professional wheel dealer. #1 Rota Dealer.

i know these say +15 but i got mine on ebay and they were marketed as +12.... boxes say +12 too, but it seems odd that they would make them with such minute differences... but whatever

and from all the research i've done, never seen ONE person with a similar setup and no rolling..... so get to it :P

I don't have anymore with my new alignment specs. I changed around camber F/R considerably and had to space/pull to fit.

I would get rucas and possibly toe rods. You may run out of adjustment depending on your drop and alignment.
