Eletric windows

Hey guys i have electric windows and they do not go down. I would like to convert to manuel windows so i wont have this problem. There is a hole cut out already so the car was converted to eletric. So does anybody know a tread or what i need and how to doit? I need all the help i can get almost got my car done and no a/c so it would be nice to have a breeze come threw.

find someone who wants electric windows and trade with them. electric windows are more of a blessing than you think

Can't answer that, and the FSM only seems to mention electrical for power windows.

Whats a tread?

just take a really good look at it, very straight forward procedure.

unplug harness, unbolt the glass, unbolt the metal arm mechanism, take everything out

if its just the driver side window not working, then most of the time, its the power window amp. take it off and then solder it. u can google "240sx power window amp" to find out how to fix the amp.

I gotta say a huge THANKS for this tidbit. My Driver's windows don't work 100% of the time, but when it does, there's no lagginess to it. Window motors I've priced have run $150-$200. I would have been pretty upset to buy one and it still not work!!
