My "Beater" Build.
I don't normally do build threads but, I have a good amount of pics and thought I would lay it out there since its been somewhat of a funny path.
It all started when I was elbow deep in gathering parts for my caged LS1 s13 hatch build. My buddy Scottie found a coupe with Sr swap and Silvia front for a good price and was going to pick it up for a street toy while we finish his track car. About the time to go get the coupe he found anther that was already done and SUPER CLEAN. So I thought no reason to let a good deal go. So I bought it thinking it could get a few spare parts we had laying around and use as a street/beater car. Once I had the car I knew it had some problems but thought I could throw a few things at it and get it in OK shape. So I bought a cheap big turbo kit off Zilvia and Started my Beater Build. The more I took the car apart the more problems I found, torn bushings, broken spot welds in the chassis, Ebay/off brand EVERYTHING. With the turbo kit and freshly powder coated valve cover the engine looked good but the bay looked awful. So I thought I would patch the tares, nasty cut FMIC piping holes and broken spot welds in the car. Also decided to skip weld the chassis while I was in there so I laid out a pattern. Then my buddy hooked me up!!!!! MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!

Approved. This looks promising. I fixed your images. Make sure you're using the location of the image and not the URL.

So the starting point of the suspension it was wore out.
So I took ALL of the suspension apart and put all new EVERYTHING IN. It was at this point I knew it wasn't a BEATER build any more...... So I found a S15 HLSD and installed it along with powder coated everything and new hardware from Nissan. (not shown here) So I had bought these cool Cosmis xt206r in hyper bronze since I normally run black wheels on everything it was a huge change for me. They fit the car really well but ran into my CTSV brakes big time. So I had to buy a set that would be somewhat cheap, light and that I KNEW would clear. Enter the RPF1's. With mock up done and room to spare I wanted the bronze look back. The big turbo kit I had bought came with a H1C Holset and a DOC Racing manifold. The turbo was in great shape but was from 1980's and the manifold was warped so I did was anybody in my position would do sell the holset and send the manifold off to a buddy at a machine shop. Then a got my replacement turbo a Comp Turbo 5556 Triplex and got to fabricating my FMIC piping.

Once everything was mocked up in the engine bay I had to fab up an exhaust. I built a 3" 304 downpipe and "midpipe" and used an old s13 exhaust that came with the car I just cleaned it up and re polished it. Only problem I ran into was I bought to large of a muffler.
For some reason I didn't take many pics during this process. But after everything was built I sent everything off to powder/heat coating. Everything came together looking ok...

Little man inspecting my work, he said he would let it pass.
I ended up buying the Dorki Dori Areo bumper and side skirts Never got pics of full mock up but its all off getting painted now. Also have all new weather stripping to go on the car. But for now that's all I have car should be back in roughly a month. For now I have a line of cars I've been putting off getting cages put in so I hope i can have all that knocked out by the time the car comes back.

Got all my customers though the shop and am wrapping up a buddy's tube front on his truck. Also the car is done so i should be going to get it back in about a week or 2.
I made the tube front on my buddy's truck flip up as requested.
