vip is a style... like rice burners,which are hideous, people till this day are still doing it. Vip is clean non race looking cars, it doesn't only have to be 4doors. take a toyota soarer for example, not only its a two door, but it will look good if its done up race, or vip. I can understand everyones opinion on it, but its just a way to style ur car. and rims dont make a different on the performance of the car IMO, if its the right size and offset for the car, then it shouldn't matter.

VIP "style", as interpreted by a lame white guy in America, but I feel it's pretty accurate.

-4 door
-Big, big cars. Full size sedans, usually V8.
-Japanese cars, Toyota, Nissan. (Lexus, Infiniti)
-Clean body.
-Clean paint, usually a non-color like black, grey or white.
-Low. Lower than low. Sitting on the exhaust pipes low.
-Name brand parts, nothing is knockoff.
-Flat faced, big lip wheels. SSR Vienna's are super duper common. Many work Euroline wheels.
-Two tone is common among VIP style cars.
-No stickers, EMBLEMS are okay, usually of the company that made the Aero or accessories.
-Black, or dark tinted windows.
-Luxurious interiors, usually adorned by window curtains, dash tables, cup holders, diamond studded air fresheners. Usually leather or suede.
-Air bag system, so that the car can sit on the frame when it's parked then drive around.
-Fitment, whatever it takes to fit the biggest, most aggressive wheels. Pulled fenders, insane camber, tubbed fenders, chassis modification insane.
-Usually large dual tip, dual exit exhausts.
-The car has to exude class, and money. The combination of the above items usually does this. But everything must scream VIP or Richness. The wheels MUST be expensive, fit, and always be clean. The car must be clean. The paint must be glossy and deep. The interior must be lavish. Chrome highlights abound. LED tail lights. HID headlamps. Loud stereos. Whatever it takes to look RICH and get NOTICED. It's like an exaggerated limousine. People must stop and STARE when you pull up.

Oh and I know who's s13 coupe that is, where do you think I got my hood?

That is a VIP "style" s13 for the following reasons:
-Fitment, he's running 18x19 stagger, and the wheels are more aggressive than BN Sports own fucking cars. He's done extensive chassis modification to fit those wheels. Tubbed fenders. 9 degrees of camber. Wider fenders. etc etc.
-Name brand parts. BN sports hood. BN sports REAL aero. BN Sports REAL fenders.
-Low. His steering rack is about 1/2" off the ground.
-Will eventually have nice paint, straight body.

This by no means makes the car VIP. But it does have VIP elements, just like Herb's cars, there are properties that are shared with the VIP style.

mainevent and thesquidd had the idea pretty much on the button, big aggressive wheels, stance, body, paint, accessories, and of course power helps. Thats what STYLE is.

VIP is mainly a 4 door world. The important person or group would find it cool to try and climb in the back of a 240 hatch if you follow what im trying to say.

sho' nuff. body kits are a waste of time on a daily driver. its paint was faded and it had some dings, so i cleaned it up and had it painted. i don't see the issue.

squidd, i normally agree with you, but when i see that picture, all i see is an old q45 with mismatched paint and wheels that make the car all but useless. VIP seems to pretty much be ghetto lowriders made out of japanese sedans. why would you want that? why would anybody want that? i don't get it. it's just another bandwagon that plenty of people will be regretting in a year or two. at least, in my eyes.

Yes it's an "old Q45", and all your car is, is an "old 240sx". That has no relevance to this discussion either way. I really don't know what point you were trying to make there.

It has mismatched paint IN THAT picture, I'm pretty sure that car is finished by now, in FULL aero, and FULL paint. Sorry, that was the only picture I had, and it's QUITE old. Either way, if your mind cannot grasp the idea that the car represents the idea of VIP, I'm sorry you are lost.

Useless? What exactly was this car being "used" for? Drifting? No. Drag? no. Grip? no. It's obviously used to drive around and look cool, of which I think it suits this purpose well. Let's assume you're generalizing about VIP in general, and comment on your posts in relation to VIP style.

I assume that you mean by useless that it is too low, and too flush to drive around town. As you can see in the video above, VIP cars CAN drive!

As stated previously, these cars usually have air suspension that makes them LOW as hell in pictures, but when they drive around they can adjust their ride height to clear obstacles. I know, I have ridden in one. This is how it is done.

The wheels I'm sure make the car handle a little funny, the camber and height he's running probably do all kinds of weird shit to the suspension dynamics, but who cares? They aren't going to be winning any time attacks, but really, who cares?

These cars are made for getting in on a weekend, driving to the club or restaurant and driving you home. They probably mostly just see the freeway. I doubt you're going to be delivering pizza in a VIP car, or off roading. That is not the purpose these vehicles suit.

Bandwagon. God I love that word. You know what's a HUGE bandwagon on Zilvia? The word BANDWAGON. It's used by ignorant people that don't understand jack shit about how society and trends develop, and how a person or group can do something that works outside the realm of comfort of another human being.

Drifting is a bandwagon, no drifting is FUN. People like to do things that are FUN. As more people do things that are fun, other people see it and want to join in.

240's are a bandwagon, no 240s are CHEAP and FUN. People can't afford Ferrari's, people can afford 240's. 240's let people have FUN. For CHEAP. People like CHEAP and FUN. It's no trend, there's just more and more people that know about 240's! Sorry the 240sx is not a RARE car, or EXCLUSIVE. The 240sx is Nissan's Honda Civic.

VIP is a bandwagon. No VIP is COOL. VIP cars are exaggerated, and sometimes unbelievable. Much of what makes a VIP car is absurd, and over the top. It looks COOL. People like things that look cool. And people want to drive cars that look COOL. Do people all want to drive a stock Honda Accord? No, they like things that look COOL. Like Ferrari's, and Lamborghini's, both cars are absurd and exaggerated in style. They look COOL. So are Ferrari's and Lamborghini's a band wagon? No.

Regretting in a year or two?

You know what people don't regret in a year or two. Savings accounts. And investing. And buying a reliable American sedan. All these things have NO PLACE here. This is a discussion for men, men that like to have fun and drive fast cars and look cool. Men that spend all their fucking money on some stupid thing and won't ever get it back , but they don't care because it was FUN, and really that's all that matters in life.

Eat more steak, drink more beer, jump out of a plane, race fast cars, bungee jump, wrestle an alligator, ride a bull. Fuck. Do something cool, or get the hell out and go start a family and invest and buy a bunch of nice furniture. But don't get it confused, there are two types of people. People that do cool shit and people that do smart shit.
